Posted by Aesthetic on Apr-14-2006 10:10:

FL 6 is disgusting, i can't stand it.

Your tune, on the other hand, is sounding pretty nice. The bassline seems a bit low... almost as low as the kick, perhaps a different bass patch or bumping up an octave might be better, or perhpas boosting the kick just a tad.

The stutters and edits are great, I'm a big fan of those (if you can't already tell from my productions, lol). Drive and enegery stay high throughout the entire track which is good and i like the eastern melodies you have going on through the middle of the track.

i can definately hear the influences of astral projection here. a few quick fixes and i think you'd ahve a fair shot at a release. good work here, i'm impressed (and i usually don't enjoy goa/psy stuff).

cheers

Before I read the description and started listening to it, at 2:37 that lead comes in, and I was like "mmmm very Astral Projection sounding".

This is really great. Eventually I will learn how to make neat rolling basslines.

I really space out when I listen to it. I really like it man. No real break downs is just fine. You vary things up enough with your different lead sounds and synths that it flows pretty well. And you accomplish plenty of tension when you drop out the bassline, and do all the high pass filtering at the kick and bass at 6:57

Great sounding. Going to spin it in my next set when I go over to Nou's cabin.

Should be fun.

Great work!

No idea the name has been already used...perhaps a comment on the actual track would be better though?

Thanks Ethereal and DJ Freaq

w00t, very good track! very nice dark start, the voice fits well and the water drop effects are nice, when i first heard this track i thought wow! finally a track that has the feeling i wanted to hear, very good buildup, the background synths at 2:37 are very nice. i feel more like listening to the track then writing comments about it the bassline fits the track well. the outro is exactly the way i expected it to be, good job on this one your best track i think?! once again its been a while since i enjoyed a track this much from a TA member. very very nice track!

Great track mate.
I really loved it

Cheers!

Posted by Firefly_pH0 on Apr-16-2006 05:15:

This tune is awesome. The only fault I can find is that the second half of the track gets too repetitive, particularly from 4:47 to 5:39, maybe cut that section in half. Other than that, thanks for a top tune!

Posted by noonboy on Apr-16-2006 11:36:

nice drive! i love the kicks too.

Posted by Nemesis44 on Apr-16-2006 12:49:

Bah! Don't know what all the fuss is about...

If I tried this stoned then my track would sound this good whilst under the effect... Yours sounds good even in a sober state you jammy git!

Quality, not much else to say dude.

I'm with you on the FL6 thing. Sticking with good ol' FL5 just like yourself, although I have got a new mistress in my life i.e. Cubase SX3.

Cheers
Nem

00:10 - good start
00:32 - i like that drop of water fx's
01:01 - transition to brake down, 01:24 - tune started pretty much great, maybe lacks some additional effects to fill that extra headroom in the start.

02:12 you made your synth statter there little bit, 02:46 bass changes, pretty wicked.
03:00 bass change is good
03:30 - sick groove!
04:00 - again that synth is inroduced, clap is very nice, either you have more than 2 or you tweaked its eq.
06:20 definatelly sounds goish', landscapes n vision, AP style.
06:44 - great percs
07:22.5 - great ending

overall - i like this track, its trippy, full of secrets n tricks, candy for the ear.

Thanks for all these comments guys

Hey Ricky that's a great track m8, definately one of your best so far.
No breakdown...That's unexpected and different. I like it.

Keep it up

Posted by thoughtlessjex on Apr-29-2006 15:18:

nice popping sound effects in the intro.

Nice work on panning everything around.

I like how the melody just grows out of what's already there, and serves mainly just to bring the energy up to that next level. By this point is incredibly banging.

That sample you've got going is really good.

Very excellent track, I'd say. Good work.

Love this track, i was into the psy/goa stuff some years ago (analog pussy - psycho bitch caught my attention back then) ... and i must say this one doesn't dissapoint. The melody change around 5:30 makes the listening from start to end all worth it ... you need that first melody printed into the brain before you can really enjoy the change ...

Posted by DJ Kenosis on May-17-2006 14:30:

I'm going to bump this one because it's so good. More people should hear it. It's on "QED"

Posted by RickyM on May-17-2006 21:37:

Thanks guys, nice to hear you like the song. And thanks to Kenosis for including it in his psy set.

Dear God,

I think I have just been ripped a new asshole.

Cheers,

Ricky, this tune screams Quality. Loved the intro for it, and when the beat dropped it was smiling.. I hope you wouldn't mind if I used it in any of my future DJ sets?
