EDIT: re-worded to better convey the original thought.

Wow. So the jerks that are too stupid to become police become bus drivers... i'm not saying this is all bus drivers, just the ones that are jerks I agree that this driver was looking for a fight if he came out of the bus and everything but take a step back. It's probably because thats the best he can do with his life. The following is a dramatisation of what happened earlier in the day to put him in such a bad power tripping mood. Think about how mad you would be if you looked back at your life and realized it was pointless and all you could make of yourself was a bus driver.

Intended as a joke because it could get someone fired
Oh and if you're really angry make sure to mention he had the smell of alcohol on his breath. They like hearing that about their drivers.

Sorry for the poor communication skills

meh i could care less what his problems are.. thers a certain manner in which u must conduct yourself to people... you cant make excuses for having a shitty personality. I dont go around causing problems because i've had a rough day... he needs to get his attitude in check.

Can everyone here say that they've NEVER reacted poorly to other people (while on the job or not) just b/c they are having a bad day (which was not the fault of the other person what so ever)?

Doubtful. I know I've done it plenty of times.

While on the job is different than while you are off the job. While Off the job, Yah, I can say that I've reacted poorly to innocent people because I was having a bad day but I can't recall a single time when this has happened on the job. It's called professionalism. If you are angry at something, take a breather. Quiet simply, other customers or co-workers do not have to put up with your shit specially when it's not their fault. As a customer, I'm not paying to be treated poorly because "you are having a bad day". I simply do not care what your problems are. I am there to be provided a service and not to serve you as a stress ball.

how do you expect no one to take offense when you say things like: "too stupid to become police become bus drivers" and "how mad you would be if you looked back at your life and realized it was pointless and all you could make of yourself was a bus driver"?

I totally agree with you here. Professionalism is key.
I should have specified that I don't believe that I have reacted in this way while ON the job.

As for the bus driver though...I don't think that he should have gone out and made the guy wait for the next bus. But maybe the reason he made him go to the back of the line b/c he was paying cash is b/c those are the rules. I'm not sure if that's the case or not...Petty...can we can an answer?! Hehe...but maybe the people who bought tickets for that bus get first priority.

I ment my comments to be directed at the bus driver in question not all bus drivers. Obviously I did a poor job of portraying that, please see previous acknowledgement.

almost every gobus driver ive encountered at mac had the same asshole attitude. i remember last year this bus driver made one guy go and get his ticket from the student center, and he didnt wait for him to come back he just took off! the worst i got was just really pissed off stares and maybe a "next time buy a ticket".

True story... maybe if the student center was open he'd have a bit of a reason to at least tell me next time get a ticket so that things can be moved faster...

I agree with you. I've NEVER lost my temperate at a customer or a client in ANY job I've ever held.

It's piss poor form - simple as that. You're being paid - you gotta suck it up and do your job - 'losing control' of your temper should not be an option.

no priority, first people in line, first on bus, theres nowhere that says you HAVE to buy a ticket from the agency, u can always buy one on the bus.
