Listen to you? why? what makes you more special than anybody else? on the one hand you are trying to inform the guy about his misinformation, on the other hand you're attacking the guy for no reason. everything you have read about the ps3 wether it came from sony themselves or any magazine no matter what it states, has no validity until the system comes out. now iam not saying that sony is lying, but i beleived way too much when they talked about how great the ps2 is going to be and powerful. great system. yes. powerful not close to what they claimed it can do, and that issue did deter alot of people away from the ps2 and caused them to loose confidence in the system. Iam not saying that the ps3 is going to be garbage. iam more than confident that sony will conintue a great tradition with this system. But you know what? alot people are very skeptic, and they should be. no real games. no one has ever touched or played a ps3 game or use it. Theoritically, everyhting we say can be true or false. there is not right or wrong answer at this point. Once the system comes out, then we will see how it comepares. Just relax, let people speak their mind, no matter how absurd it is. You never know, something could be closer to the truth than we all realize. Iam not being rude to you, but i think you need to take what goes on this forum a little less personal.

both the xbox 360 and ps3 are relatively similar in terms of speed, people will probably pick one over the other on games alone.

An uninformed opinion is welcome but will always meet criticism. I did not deny him the right to post what he thought nor did I attack him. Please read a bit more carefully into my posts before your criticize the way I respond.

The "Listen to me" was a joke, by the way.

If something has been confirmed by Sony itself, it more than likely is valid.

Also, I consult with many people that are in the industry. While most of them are under NDAs, the rest (the ones that are in the industry or are closer to the NDAers) are able to milk out some information. I'm just telling you how it is, right now. You don't have to believe anything I say if you feel so strongly, though. I'm just a bit more informed than your average gamer, is all.

Of course there's a right and a wrong answer at this point in time. In reality, we have nearly all the answers to Sony's next generation console and its plan to tackle the industry. It's just little tweaks that you'll see happen as the release approaches that will surprise you, myself and the rest of the fans.

I'm one of those hardcore gamers, that will buy every system, so I don't care how much it is when it comes out because it will still work great and be cheaper than building a gaming rig which I'm going to do anyway.

Yeah, that crap is annoying. Downloading programs onto your computer without your consent is shady.

I always wait till a system has been out for a while and has gone on sale before I get it. Hell, I just finally got an Xbox last year and it was only cause someone bought it for me for Christmas. I bought my PS2 when it came out, but at that point I was still living at home, working full-time, and didn't have any bills at all.

Man, were those the good days.

Now, I might try something my buddies mom did years ago. Buy two PS3's(Thank you VISA) the day they come out, sell one on ebay to the people willing to pay a butt load when they can't find one, then take that money and pay off the credit card. I suddenly have a free PS3.

If the plan backfires I think the wife will kill me, but half the fun of being in a relationship is getting in trouble cause makeup sex is always kick ass.

I did the 'Purchase Multiple Consoles at Release' plan for the 360. Was able to get a free 360 that way.

It's a gamble, of course. If they have enough to supply the demand, you won't get much on eBay.

Based off the comments of the low amounts of initial shipments, it's probably wise to jump on the preorder boat. The one problem we're dealing with is... the price. If it'll cost more than $500 (just might be), you won't be seeing a lot of people wanting to pay for it in the first place.

In no way do I not beleive you. I know you quite well on this forum. Iam just hoping that you havent been dissapointed by what you heard. I know you are a more avid gamer than iam. lets hope sony does keep its word around this time.

I thought about doing it with the 360, but I totally forgot for some reason.

Think about this though, even if the PS3 is like $500 it will be coming out right before Christmas holiday shopping fever, and you know rich parents are going to do whatever it takes to get their brat child that one present they just have to have. Obviously you know this first hand, but I remember seeing 360's with just a game or two going for $1200 on eBay the week they came out.
