lol agreed
more random that on instant messanger, right now, that video at a different url is my away msg, love that vid

as per dancing, i always say that i can't dance to bad music
if the music good, and really captivates and energizes me, then i'll dance up a storm
just work your own style
i know the basics for swing, salsa, and merengue(sp?), and definitely throw some steps of those in when i'm dancing
went to see tiesto last fall and wasn't expecting that much, but although i agree he really isn't very good as a dj (many noticable trainwrecks, and i'm not much of a dj), he threw down one hell of a fucking party
danced for a good 3 hours straight and didn't really care
you look around, think 'hey that guy's doing something cool', and a while later you incorporate something like it
there's no actual 'steps' or rigid form or anything
just dick around and know that since you don't care, you're already better than most

It's nice to see someone actually wanting to improve their dancing, some ppl might say "Fuck it, who cares, just fuck around and have a good one". Sure, no harm in that, besides the fact that these ppl often:
1. Just "bops" on the same spot, swingin one arm in the air and cheers like a ******

OR

2. They don't FUCKIN dance at all!

Hey, it aint called EDM for nothing - you dance to trance, you silly goose!

Saw that someone suggested the shuffle, you sir will be awarded with no less than 15 unicorns!
I've been shuffeling for almost 6 months I think, and yeah it sucks at first since you cant sync the steps to the beat. But I loved the shuffle since I first saw it and I kept on trying by myself.

Nowadays I often get comments about my dancin and people wanting to learn it, but thats not the point, the point is to listen to the music and create an art, responding with your entire body

geez. for an all-electronic site this thread was giving some shitty advice for dancing to EDM

Have you ever even been to a club?

Posted by Allied Nations on Apr-17-2006 08:10:

You will get so much poon if you know how to do two things in one night.

1. Meet a girl and get to dancing
2. Be able to dance

So easy to end up hookin up with whoever it is, if you have the moves.

FTR: (For the record) If I saw you dancing in a club Yan, I'd prolly start laughing- Mostly because of the fro, partly because youd be wearing your rimmed glasses and nintendo shirt or something...

Posted by Trance Nutter on Apr-17-2006 08:18:

Yeah, people who don't dance fuck me off royally.

Went to PvD a few weeks back and the place was jam packed. Dancefloor - some poeple dancing in the small area they had and a large proportion of people just standing there! If you're not dancing, why stand in the middle of the dancefloor? Fuck off! And then theres people who will walk around and then squeeze themselves into the tiny space between you and the person in front, BUT THEN JUST STAND THERE! Im gonna slap someone over the back of the head someday

I'm in no way claiming to be a good dancer, but ffs if you aren't going to dance don't ruin it for those who do!

I was being serious. I've never seen you post in any review/roll call or express any anticipation for any upcoming event. In fact...I dont even have a clue what music you like.

And while I dont claim to dance well, I dont just sit in the corner doing the head-bob.

I also get admiring looks and praise for my dancing( even tho' I say so myself) FUCK _ OFF !! . Dance if you want, just feel and react ..there's no rules..as long as you're enjoying the tunes. Be yourself.

Yeah, I guess I only recently started reading the NYC forum every day. So...whats josh4's flava?

I like some of your tips. I'm also one of those people who cant dance for shit but wanting to learn heh. About the melbourne shuffle, how hard is it to really learn? Are there many steps to it or what? I saw a few vids on it it looks pretty cool.

Posted by rqpeyruxvg on Apr-23-2006 05:49:

Try the other vid, thatz even better.

Posted by SparcZ on Apr-26-2006 22:32:

Take a look at this girl move... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iGxwsFalK5c&search=rave

If you are interested in learning the Melbourne Shuffle sign up with an account and post 3 times (wait a day) here:
http://www.hardstep.de/index.php?c=27

and then download the videos there. They have instructional videos on it in slow mo. I'm just starting so good luck!
