The whole beauty of OSX is that it runs SSL better than WinXP, I could give a fuck less about "just works". I'm not a retard, so I can work it myself.

Bottom line it is stable, runs what I need it to better than WinXP, and didn't take very much of my time to install and configure.

No this is the bottom line:

Just because you are an obvious fanboy with a degree doesn't mean you are the all knowing god of computers.
Mac's are known to have certain applications that function better than on a PC. However the same is said vice versa.
It's six of one and half a dozen of the other. Stability will always be an issue be it Mac or PC. That's just life, that's just technology and we'll all have to deal with it.
A real issue is file management. The less clutter you have on your machine, the better it will run. Simple. I've been running my notebook and FS 1.5 solid for nearly 1 and a half years. I use it nearly every day and not once has it crashed on me.
I installed Final Scratch onto a Powerbook one day. It crashed the 3rd time I used it. Do I all of a sudden hate Mac's? Obviously not, I just had a bad experience with that particular machine on that particular day.
Stop with all the fanboy talk, the "my time is too valuable" and all that crap. You're no better than the next guy whining about his iPod being better than any other mp3 player just because it has a little Apple on it.
The Powermac and Intel based Mac's (once the issues are ironed out as with any new technology) will be fantastic and quite a step forward for Apple. However, so will the x64 with PC. Why not embrace technological advances and competition instead of fighting back and forth about what is better and who knows more about what. Give me a break.
And for the record, I graduated a computer from a class as well, and I spent 3 years using G4's and G5's as well as owning PC's at home, so before you go on a rant about me not knowing anything about what I'm talking about you can start there and continue on.

Great post Wave.
Its just so simple though.
If it works for you then use it!
Realy, their is no "better" option.
I use PC because im used to it and it works...
If i had a mac I would say the same thing.
Iv used both and they are both great. Its a matter of prefrence...
PREFRENCE!!!

This has turned into a vinyl vs. cd thread, but for computers!
I never said don't use either... if it works for you then great. My response was made to Zild, who said that running OS X on a commodity PC was "fine", even though it required endless tinkering. He seemed to miss the point of why people buy them in the first place.
