that fucking thing is ugly as hell.
match that up with a gemini mixer and you've got pure distortion. woot!

not if you actually go looking for a bargain.

this is what i eventually got, and what i paid for it.

2 X CDJ-200's (less than a year old)
1 X Behringer DM700 (also less than a year old)

total cost = $750.

if you are on a budget, trust me..... the set up i have is the greatest.

Was it a MKI or MKII. I have played on both and there is a big difference between to two. Pioneer changed the platter for the MKII based on the feedback they got on the feel of the 800's.

the cdj 100mkII is the industry standard so if you got the coin... drop it. i've seen some dj's do some incredible shit on these things and they're versatile as fuck once you master them. highlight was seeing Karizma mixing another track blending it over another then flipping the reverse swith on the original one playing without a hitch.... playing it out for a few bars letting both tracks ride over each other then flipping it back... all done so smoothly that i would never have believed it if i didn't see with my own eyes (at roxy blu). wow.

while my heart will always have a soft spot for vinyl and prefer it myself, the pioneer cdj1000 is the shit when it comes to manipulating anything in cd format.

I might be wrong but I think it's fairly rare to see deals like that come around. If not, please correct me as I might become interested
