I think his new stuff might impress you.

I agree whole heartedly, I just filled a cd with Thrillseekers stuff and its quality to have on, tracks like Affinity, Open Your Eyes and By Your Side just do not get tiresome to listen too.

It's gotta be m.i.k.e due to the sheer amount & quality. I mean universal nation / twixt / touched by the hand / moment's are forever the man is amazing.

Melodies in songs by Active Sight have always impressed me, except for adrenaline, but its more about the kick and bass than the melody.

This will inevitably be a list of most popular uplifting trance producers. If it comes to big hooks, the winner isn't a trance producer at all, but probably someone like 2 Unlimited.

the thrillseekser and ferry corsten always have awesome melodies
thumbs up

maybe cus his majors hits are remixes or collabs?

I find it hilarious that you spend a paragraph slating Tiesto and then name one of his tracks. Dolt.

IMO Tiesto is the most overrated cheesy crap DJ ever to grace the planet. All he's got is suburban train and the delerium silence remix. I went through a load of his stuff to get an overall picture of his style and the vibe I got was far too high pitched, relentless pitch bending of notes, hyper-fast headless-chicken melodies and just plain ugly sounds. I don't know how the hell he gets away with it!

Melodies:

Kamaya Painters - Far From Over

Mauro Picotto - Like This Like That

Floyd - Come 2 Gether (Radio Mix)

I love the way two riffs are submerged for the main hook in Floyd's Tune

classic

In my defence, I didn't know and I still stand by saying I checked out a lot of his remix work and his solo tracks and they were crap.

Well Like This Like That is cheesy shit. It's part way a rip-off of Armin's Blue Fear and part ridiculous kids' music. Picotto has done way better.

Personally, I haven't been impressed to the slightest by anything mozart has ever done.

Wow...

Open a midi of any composition by Mozart. One with every instrument.

Now imagine coming up with that on paper, by yourself, going only on your intuition and knowledge of music theory.

Yeah, it's snobbism for a reason; it really is *that* impressive, even if it was his hobby and lifestream.

Impressive is bethoven not mozart. How ever melodiewise you guys forgot Solarstone always simple but yet very catchy.Cheese or not I think every single EDM listener knows their melodies. who can forget Solarcoaster?

Ice Beach,

a nice one, but I think it's co-produced with Arcane

Shadows,

Once again I think it was co-produced with Blackout?

Green Astronauts

Not even made by him, but by Joni, he did remix it though.

and Pagoda.

co-produced with Redshift.

I love his work, but I think it's pretty much all been co-production and remixes. I'd like to see him do a production entirely by himself.

airbase eats them all in melos but that's just my cup of tea.

Posted by Rainborn on May-08-2006 18:40:

I'm proud of Jezper. I think he's from the same city as me too?

And yeah I know most of his work is just co-productions but still. Who knows what role he played in the creation of those songs? (Him of course, but then we'll have to hope he posts here)

Hydroids got some good points. And your stuff is splendid too Hydroid
