Any help will be appreciated.

Sean Cassidy - thanks for the website. I think that photographer that took a pic of us is the one who posted it on the website you gave. My guess is we didn't really turn out too good and that's why our picture is not there. .

Oh well.

Espresso - all you have to do is look presentable. This place is a bit snobbish. Even though they pulled their 23+ only bullshit and we had 3 people in our group who were only 20, they still let us in cause we were all dressed nicely. Just dress up like a lot of people in the drink do.

Hey again.

I found pictures on that site, but it seems it's not up to date. The pics are posted by months and the last month on it is March.

Unless they wait till the end of the month to post all pictures at ones from various clubs. So i'll wait till May to see if anything is there. Otherwise i'll try to call the club and ask them if they know.

How did you like hype1? That website posts pictures from all the clubs you can think of and it's updated every weekend. I love that website.

BTW i'm new here, so I am still learning how to navigate.
Thanks for replying

Nightlifeinfo.com

Due to incompletion of school assignments, I will be finishing them after my final exam on friday, so no Garnier for me...On the plus side, I don't have to worry about admittance, now that I'm not going. I was really looking forward to meeting and partying with you Skipper..next time...Richie Hawtin? Have fun folks! Destroy the dancefloor!

Anyone have a review? I'm curious to know how the night went down????

Posted by neuromancer on Apr-30-2006 19:32:

yeah, did anybody go ?

i' would have loved to go only to hear 'the man with the red face', i heard is one of the finest piece ever.

Posted by electro funk on Apr-30-2006 21:42:

wow...a review in a roll call

i will be short as i can only remember the beginning of the night.

didnt even think i was gonna get it because i had my running shoes and jeans on and the bouncers had their eyes on me. met some guy...didnt even have to wait in line and then we were in some VIP area drinking free booze all night. not what i was expecting from what i heard about the club. the music was pretty good too. brad was playing some pretty baning house as usual. laurent came on was spinning some stuff that i really liked....from what i remember. lots of drums and really driving stuff. the crowd was a little strange i guess but the place was pretty full but not too full. i had fun just wish i could remember more.

Yay a review I gladly write.....

First time at TiL - not a bad club, lots of potential- give em time and let's hope they are modest enuff to read reviews on events an such.

Anyways, got in fine without any hassles. hurray!
thoroughly enjoyed the night for what it was.... a musical journey bordering on pure genius and some big ass balls on Laurent Garnier's part. I was expecting to dance more but ended up standing on the dancefloor, simply watching in awe. I for one really enjoyed LG- It was nice to simply listen and enjoy , something I have forgotten of late. Not that I didn't kick it up when the opportunity presented itself.
The washrooms were awesome! but man those stairs become a challenge when a girl's really gotta go.
The crowd was ok, albeit a bit weird at times) but I wish there were more technoheads around me... saw skipper and sean cassidy but from afar. next time, I will work the courage to cross that awkward dancefloor to get you guys around me. cos i got some cathing up to do in dancing it seems.

all in all a good quality night out with quality music- YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM CRISPY BACON!!!!

the sound system, while it did not give me an earbleed the next day... needs some work before Ritchie Hawtin plays there... I wanna so hear the bleeps of hawtin.... oh and the bouncer in front of the DJ booth eeekkkkk! get him off!!! FFS what's someone gonna do, jump the DJ? give the audience some credit...

finally- I will return to Til but with a bigger posse this time - for HAWTIN and we will do it all over again. perhaps we shall see a bigger techno crowd for Ritchie and Magda ? and you too greg gow....let's see.

ta-ta.

voodoo.

p/a sean I found my friends, whew! i is kool. we shall talk soon.

Posted by voodoochild on Apr-30-2006 23:06:

ah and for all those who wanna know.... he was much better at System.... not that he wasn't good TiL just ... much better at System.

Maybe it was that bouncer walking back and forth in front of him.

None- the- less I salute the man.

voodoo out.

Sarah, review?

Posted by Skipper on May-02-2006 13:55:

I've been refraining from posting because initially, I was disappointed. I guess I still am. I heard such good things about the Mtl gig that I expected something similar.

I spent 2/3 of the night being impressed or downright blown away. I love when he gets into melodic tech house or really deep techno, as he did in the first hour or so. Then he got into some rock remixes, including the Doors - not particularly my cup of tea but it worked, and I was still dancing. Then came the jazzy house - still upbeat, and I was still dancing. Then came the jungle. Sarah can't dance to 145bpm! That's when I sat down and just watched the dancefloor clear out. Strangely, the lights started getting brighter, and this was at 4:15. Shortly after that, the music STOPPED, and then came back at like 100bpm. 100bpm of...reggae. Hip hop. I'm sorry but this is a dancefloor...100bpm just doesn't get anyone going! The dancefloor looked like it was swimming in peanut butter it was so slow.

There was a track or two at the end that were good but by then I was ready to leave. I stayed til close around 5 but probably would have left earlier if my friends had been willing to pack up and leave too.

I ran into greg gow who had just arrived and been told Laurent wanted to close and therefore Greg wouldn't be playing. Guy always gets shafted. That last hour would have been awesome if greg had closed with some techno.

The smoking in there is brutal. I didn't notice it last time I was there. Just revolting.

My right ear STILL hurts. The sound in there is just over the top. What is the point of hearing the MNus crew there? Minimal needs to be heard on a proper sound system to be fully appreciated. I don't even know if I'll go.

that's about it, I guess.

Garnier playing hip hop? How strange...I wonder what he was on

So I DIDN'T imagine all of that.

I had fun though.
