dj's are only human too and when working so hard and travelling around are bound to have illnesses and need recovery time like any human being. We are not machines, what more do you want from a dj. I have said it already, wish for a speedy recovery from him instead of crying cuz he cancelled his gig and have some respect for a person you have respected in the past.
I think ppl are WAY too demanding of dj's these days.

Well yes thats why the event was never posted on his site...he also told me in person, when he was in Ottawa that he wouldnt be doing a make up date from stereo and likely not be back in Canada this year. Than the next day dirty is like OMG BBQ STICKS desyn is booked in two weeks. Right after desyn told me he has was booked solid for the next 3 months.
So who am i to believe? Desyn who told me he never was going to go...and his website that says he was never going.... or do i believe dirtymontreal...
Even if I am wrong, and he was booked...Desyn for sure would of told them a few days in advance and that afternoon at the latest. Which would og giving dirty more than enough time to post on TA...but no he cares more about profits...which in some ways is ok. What gets me is when his crew says they're doing us a favor by booking these djs and that we should apologies for being mean....
No fuck you, you're responsible no matter what. You organized it. You're doing it for money, or else you wouldnt charge us money, dont try to fool us.
So ya, I hope the dirty crew stops doing montreal a favor....no more false bookings and steeling our money please. Its just not nice.

I agree with this comment 110%.. get rid of the popularity vote and resting for a few months will be what is best. I can only imagine what exhaustion does to ones body. I know me just from the last 2 weekends in Mtl what it has done to me and that is just 2 weekends with the lack of sleep and travelling/driving. Imagine that being your full time job.
It is funny cuz when I met Mark de Jong (half of Mark Norman) @ Guv last summer with Cor Finjeman I was talking to Mark about travelling doing what he enjoys doing most and that it must be so much fun getting to see all the places in the world. And his response to me was that he did enjoy playing the music and travelling around but most times he didn't get to see the places he was actually going to cuz he was flown in and out of the city within a day in most cases and onto the next gig as well as having to stay in hotels if he did stay overnight in the city. It is a lot more draining mentally and physically on these dj's.
I will be the first one to admit that if you go with hopes of seeing your dj on fire and they don't perform to what your expectations were that a comment is made or it is posted in your review. Think of the pressure that causes to these dj's to have to be on their game at all times with no fuckups. Yeah, I know it is expected, but again not everyone can be on their game every day. Everyone is entitled to a bad day!
(btw..that isn't a direct quote.. it was the general conversation)

No Bus!
There were 33 people for the bus. We decided it would be less hassle for people to car pool down.
See you there.
