Well, they aren't complete donors, anything external they refuse but internal organs they are fine with. Personally, for me anything goes if needed.

If the mass media gets wind of this, it will be blown way out of proportion, always happens.

They may not be " complete " donors but atleast they are donors period. It actually took me a few years to become one. After donating skin, yes skin, to a a girl on my soccer team, it made me realize that it was a a good thing, and when im gone, my body can be used instead of cremating me or burrying me.

But just because your an organ donor, it doesn't mean that your family wouldn't be able to cremate or bury you.

Depending on what they use, if my body went to science, or other scientific things they would like to do to it. Im not saying it wont happen, but the thought of being cremated is less inviting then donating.

Sounds nice. Although I am a huge pyro, ( no i wont burn your houses down, im tamed) I don't like the thought of being stuck in an oven. Personally if I had to be cremated, and then put someone other then underground, it would be over the ocean, Im a water sign, so it would be beautiful.

What if someone said "fuck it" and threw you in a sewer after being cremated? "Well dear, it was as close to the ocean as she's gonna get."

it's not a myth. 2 of my friends participated in some medical survey/study about E, well they did spinal fluid checks on both of them to see if they are indeed E-poppers (that study payed well), since E leaves some sort of residue (not sure it's a right word) behind |
sorry in the line you quoted by me that should have read: "DOES" not "GOES".
you may be correct that it may leave a trace residue in the system which can be found in the spinal fluid but my remark was more along the lines that it has not been proven that MDMA actually depletes or increases spinal fluid which many people believe causes the back pain.
also out of curiousity did this test your friends participate in actually administer MDMA to them or just try find something in thier spinal fluid considering they had said they once took E. MDMA is usually untraceable in formal drug tests within 200 hours of taking it (about 8 days).

argh why are you so smart? i got a headache reading over your post
i actually don't know what they did to them, I just know they went for the study and that's it...but i dont think it was a test purely about spinal fluid, this was just to prove that the ppl who are participating are frequent E-poppers

A study published this week in the British Medical Journal found that 81 people died from using MDMA (ecstasy) in Britain between 1997 and 2000. But nearly two-thirds (62%) of those deaths also involved other drugs, usually opiates, and only 7% were attributed to ecstasy poisoning (overdose) alone. A little less than one-third (31%) of the deaths were attributed to "other causes," such as heat stroke or heart attack. |
and even of those 5 people that did die, in that 3.5 year time span, they noted that the causes of death were more likely related to over heating or hydration issues than the actual neurotoxicity of MDMA. Clean MDMA when taken properly (I am not supporting its use) has rarely ever been the sole cause of a death. Most studies done after claims such as "MDMA killed this person" have been put into question when further examined.

in this case we're talking about the brain |
yeah it was more a question about what neurochemicals/ neurotransmitters they were reffering to. Not all of them will increase at the same time. The ones that do increase or decrease provide good information regarding what neurotoxins caused the influx or release.
lol I know what Cerbro and spinal mean.

I've tried to educate myself the best I can on this issue for a few reasons. first of all I've been partying for a fairly long time now and when I started I wanted to protect myself with information. The more I learned the more I felt in control of myself and my circumstances.
I have also done a degree in neurobiopsychology, so obviously I chose to look at issues that best relate to what I have prior knowledge with and then did extra study on this topic specifically.
I also know that there are a lot of people out there that have not taken the time to learn what is available to them on this subject and as such try to spread it on whenever I can without being a pushy or annoying friend.
MDMA has been one of the most controversial drugs studied in neurobiopsych and there is a lot of information out there on it. The problem is that a vast chunck of the funded research is sponsored by gov't funding so a fair chunck of it is biased in that it feels the need to confirm what the funders want to hear on the topic. An increasing amount of privately financed material on the subject is becoming available, but it can still be a pain to sort out who has what agenda.
The biggest issues with MDMA studies is to ask if there are ANY other possible causes for negative side effects (including death) that were studied? In most cases there are other possible causes, you then have to find out how much of a role that played in the final consiquence. There are lots of rumours, lots of 'studies' and very little fact on MDMA. A lot of what was once persumed has been turned upside down in the last few years by new studies.
If you want to learn more dancesafe.org is a good starting place for really basic information on this stuff.dancesafe.org
