Start the set with some good tracks for 30 min and then play some super fast Hardstyle in the middle of the set and then some really chill tunes.
Stop giving him your CD's. Its that simple really!! Also you shouldn't be selling your CD's in the first place without permission from the record labels and producers!!
My two recommendations:
One - Like others have said put something really retarded in the middle of the mix, a song that will definately make him cop a few bottles thrown at him :P
or
Find the boss and tip him off and let him know that hes paying for your work and not your mates.
can't believe some1 like that can be become a club DJ in the UK
anywayz, don't make your next mix crap...
that's a stupid idea, blackmail him and ask a big cut on his paycheck

Stop giving him the mix CDs?
Also, as someone said earlier, tip the manager.
lol funny thread, but why in DJ promotion forum ?
I have to say this story is honestly true. The city where I live has no decent clubs that play trance, so he has been getting away with playing and mixing crap music like a 5 year old for ages. Secondly, I was supplying him with the mix CD's for his own personal use at home, and were not intended for use in the club. The first time I heard them was when he played a gig at one of the local clubs. It was quite amusing actually. It was at the snooker club, and it was a friends engagement party, so thay had expected a sort of low key disco kind of night. The night started with the usual party songs (mostly intended for the kids) like The Music Man, when suddenly, from out of the blue, he mixed my CD into the set. The night was actually quite bangin', and the kids seemed more interested in Oceanlab and Thrillseekers than Barby Girl and Dr Jones!!
After this night he obviously realised that he could carry on playing my CD's, because I know a lot more about trance than he will ever wish to, and he wouldn't in a month of Sundays be able to mix a set like mine in a nightclub (let alone at an engagement party!). He also plays at weddings and birthday parties. I couldn't believe that he actually played a progressive trance set at a 90th birthday the week after, and the guests were all slagging him off. The poor old deers had expected a kind of post 1st World War theme, not Creamfields!!!!!

Yeh I know. The old deers were not impressed. They refused to pay him afterwards. I wasn't actually there but I can just picture them bopping to the beat with their zimmer frames and hip replacements!!! I bet even they thought his mixing was crap!!
