I said most of the tracks were crap. I havent actually listened to the mix so I didnt comment on anything beyond the tracklist. he has to have skill to merge all those tracks like that and make it sound solid, no doubt about that. The track selection, however, couldve been far better.

sum people pop outa nowhere and throw in random shit

i've always liked Air For Life, i know people hate it but i like it. What do people hate about it so much? Is it the trying to be electro bassline or the uplifting synths? I've always thought they were such a nice combination. There's some garbage in there but there's some good songs on there IMO also.

A Force / Yahel - Behind Silence
Marco V - False Light
Ave Mea - In The End
Mr Sam - Lyteo (Rank 1 Remix)
David West - Larry Mountains 54

Sunset, Advanced of course, Playmo and Castamara also deserving.

Posted by Ian on May-09-2006 22:26:

marcel woods - advanced
goldenscan - halcyon

I can't pick 3 more. They're tripe

Posted by Gabe de Wielen on May-09-2006 22:32:

Funabashi - Daylight
Yilmaz Altanhan - Eighties
Armin van Buuren feat. Nadia Ali - Who's Watching (Tonedepth remix)

the (mc)proggier ones for me

I finally just gave this a listen, and to be honest, found the mixing much better than expected. Verrry few breakdowns. The trick he did with overlaying Swing2Harmony through three tracks was nifty. It was very interesting to listen to the ways he used one track to transition into another. I thought it was actually arranged pretty thoughtfully, despite the (over) familiarity of some of the tracks. In fact, I found myself enjoying some of the more familiar tracks more this time through than in any other recent Armin set. (maybe that's cause they didn't last as long :toocool.

For me, these are the moments that I enjoyed, in no real order:

The Yilmaz Altanhan - Eighties (Original Mix)/ Deepsky featuring Jess Ghost (Original Mix) combo.

The Rachael Starr - Till There Was You (Gabriel & Dresden Remix)/ Perasma - Swing 2 Harmony (Gabriel & Dresden Remix)/ Markus Schulz featuring Departure - Without You Near (Gabriel & Dresden Remix)/ Above & Beyond vs Andy Moor - Air For Life (Original Mix)/ Gabriel & Dresden featuring Molly - Tracking Treasure Down/ Mike Foyle vs Signalrunners - Love Theme Dusk (Mike's Broken Record Mix) series.

Mark Otten - So Serene (Menno De Jong's Heading South Dub)

Goldenscan - Halcyon
Leon Bollier - Back In The Days
Primer - Everlast (Original Mix)

Airbase - Escape/ Ronski Speed with Stoneface & Terminal - Incognition (Club Mix)/ Dogzilla - Without You (Dub Mix)

Menno de Jong - Tundra (Fierce Dub)/ Menno de Jong presents Sayla Majestic (Arizona vs Passiva Remix)/ Thomas Bronzwaer - Close Horizon (Original Mix)

Ernesto vs Bastian - Dark Side Of The Moon (Original Mix)

And amidst an ending I found for the most part too hard... WOW: Luminary - Amsterdam (Smith & Pledger Remix)/ Kamil Polner - Heart Of Sun/ Hammer & Bennett - Language (Santiago Nino Dub Tech Mix)

The tunes I liked the most:

01 Airbase - Escape
02 Selu Vibra - Stargazing
03 Funabashi - Daylight
04 Inertia - The Chamber
05 Menno De Jong Pres Sayla - Majestic
06 Goldenscan - Only With You
07 Hammer & Bennett - Language (Santiago Nino Dub Tech Mix)
08 Ava Mea - In The End
09 Dogzilla - Without You (Dub)
10 Fred Baker vs Nyram - Confirmation
11 L.S.G. Netherworld (Oliver Prime Remix)
12 Galen Behr - Time Will Tell
13 Menno De Jong - Tundra (Fierce Dub)
14 Thomas Bronszwaer - Close Horizon
15 Apogee - Tribal Affair
