Mostly caused by a few excited people jumping up & down so the bumps are quite sharp. Lots of houses are not very solidly built in my area. In clubs sometimes they buld a concrete footing anchored to the basement and the DJ table sits on that. So the table is rock solid while the dance floor bounces around. |

I think people actually care about the music thats being played at houseparties because I have seen dj's clear dancefloors at houseparties. Also why are people idiots and decide to friggin touch the record while its playing and then scratch with it...wtf are you kidding me? I must have at least 15-20 records with huge scratch marks from idiots bumping the tonearm while trying to "scratch." I actually after this year am stopping house parties...I get paid way to little for the amount of stuff I bring
(In case you were wondering, I get about 100 dollars a night for house party)

I must be lucky because iv had a few people jumping around going dunken crazy in my lounge (floor boards) and the turntable didnt even skip let alone the laptop crash.
Solid floors FTW
lol.
house parties are lucrative and enjoyable if done correctly.
but you need more than 1 man

| Originally posted by tvmann LOL well these were old houses, I guess the joist wood in the floors was not too strong. Strong enough for the usual stuff but not partying. Even in my modern house a man walkig quickly will cause the floor 10 feet away to move noticeably - they should have put extra beams underneath to support the joist boards better. Cheapskate builders. |
Yeah, when we threw house parties basically what we did was put a whole bunch of the "POLICE LINE DO NOT CROSS" yellow tape lines across the room a generous distance in front of the dj booth. So no one could get even close. Something like that is the way to do it...
There is a club here used to be called Proscenium, they have floor boards that would move when there was enough people in the room dancing.
YeA HOWS PAHTY!!!!
Werd MOTHA oops
lol wut
Anything audio/visual is always technical complications/problem prone. DJing is a larg part of that, whether it be the house party or in teh club be prepared for tough conditions that someties seem possible.
