that means parents don't give a shit, that's their way of upbringing you, which is not good

when I was growing up, mum would actually limit my TV watching time, and she wouldn't let me watch some shows either

she would either kick me out to play in the fresh air or take me out and about the town or beach

i'm a child of the news.. I spent more time watching the news when I was a child then i did eating up pop media. My parents let me watch the evening news when I was 11 yrs old. Hrm probably why i'm so jaded.

Ahhhh you people are misunderstanding me!

When i was younger...I listened to Brittney Spears, BSB, NSYnc, Spice Girls...etc. But times have changed since then, now these celebrities are ALL OVER the media. Hollywood stars and their lives have became such a main focus of media these days that they forget to report what is actually going on in the real world. Sure girls have the option of not copying these celebrities....but when their parents stick them infront of a TV and expect a box that projects images to raise their kids, do you think those kids are going to know any better?

I was barely allowed to watch TV as a kid.....we went outside and played. Times are different now.....so many houses have both parents working and the parents rely on schools, TVs, etc. to raise their kids and forget to get their kids outside and play.
