How come all group leaders are in the poll except for Mexico? Metoon would have put Mexico in the poll.

Anyway, I want them to win. Behind them 100%.

i would love to see mexico in the 1/4 finals

Mexico can beat Brazil. Think back people.

Spain, they have nothing. And having Raul in the squad is just as bad as Mexico having Suarez.

Sure Mexico is a great team. Confederations cup anyone? They were awesome...

I dunno if this is possible or not but brazil vs argentina and England vs Italy would be my ideal semi final. Can't stand argentina but they have a very good team this year.

oh and tevez really needs to do something about his face. i think the only reason he plays well is by looking at himself in the mirror every morning and getting so pissed of that it fires him up. that was mean but hes really very ugly

I just think they finally have a reasonable team all over, villa & torres, fabregas, xavi etc

Posted by Fundamental on May-17-2006 09:34:

Brazil. Sorry to go with the obvious, but I reckon it's gonna happen.

But come on the T&T!

Posted by raveed on May-17-2006 09:45:

Whoever voted for france needs to be slapped. The word is THINK will win not WANT

Posted by fcuk on May-17-2006 10:12:

I really think its out of these three: Italy, Holland, Germany
I know brazil will be strong but I think someone else is going to win the cup this year.

Who i don't see winning is France an especially poor squad this year along with Spain and Argentina. They will make group stage but may not make it to 2nd or 3rd round.

And finally don't write of the Chezchs and Ukrainians they might be a suprise to some ppl.

Ukraine and Serbia are my bets to be the surprise package of the tournament. My man Vidij is gonna break some legs over the course of the tournament.

Since Spain could meet Brasil in quarterfinals, I say Brasil will win the title.

Yeah, Reyes, Villa, Cesc, Xabi and Xavi, Puyol, Casillas... Pure crap .

Posted by Dj Alex (ISR) on May-17-2006 12:00:

Holland!

Posted by Az on May-17-2006 14:54:

England
we have the best defence in the world, and probably the strongest midfield
if rooneys fit it's a bonus, but we've still got players who are going to bag up
France won the 98 world cup without any of their strikers scoring

Posted by The_G0dfather on May-17-2006 15:14:

best def = italy

Well, but we are speaking about World Cup 2006, not about past players and past editions. Uruguay has 2 WC and didn't qualify.

Fine then. It seems like they can do well in this one. We shall see.

I think Italy have three of the best defenders in the world in nesta (who seems to have found form again), cannavaro and zambrotta, but grosso is perhaps not so good. I've watched barzagli quite a bit this year and I think he's also a good replacement for the two centre backs and hope he would get a game before materazzi.

PFFF!!! Grosso is sick. Materazzi is better than Barzagli but neither will start unless injury or suspension.

don't even think about italy winning the world cup, all the scandals going on lately will affect the team's climate.
