Yup! Thin walls - stupid university apartments. I had a chat with her today morning and all she says is that when I play my music...her whole apartment vibrates. I kinda had an agreement with her that I wun play my music after 10pm on weekdays and 2am on weekends. It was hard to get her to say yes to that.

I am still going to annoy the hell out of her though...

Get surround sound and put your speakers on stands or mount them on the wall. The walls may be thin in general.

If they complain go ring theyre bell and place a tazer gun on the door know so that they get shocked as soon as they touch it. Then RUN like hell so they dont see you

I dunno how much difference it would make but it might be better to mount the speakers at ear level(Unless theyre huge).One thing that might help u to know.....it's a bit sciencey BUT.... bass travels vertically downwards for some reason....putting it on tables etc, practically amplifies the bass downwards into the apartment below and sound travels well thru wood.....


or another trick is to put a couple of mouse pads under each speaker or simply tell them to fuck off and mind their own business!

but wheres the fun in that seriously? the reason anyone does anything at the dorms is because you're within reach of 3000 people all living in 4 interconnected towers. its good because you can go to other rooms and hang out with people. and no one here is ever quiet for anything. we've done that exact same thing 2 dozen times before without negative consequence. i honestly think the only reason that happened was because it was a "study night" which was a stupid move on our part

putting the speakers on rubber mats will help absorb the vibration immensely.

also, buy them a case of whatever they drink, send them a pizza, whatever. let them know flat out that you're bribing them. this way the little shit will slide, like the afternoons, 8pm-ers, etc.
