Seattle is the snobbiest coffee city ever. I live here
and we owned a coffee business haha. People get REALLY worked up when you dont know coffee stuff
i'm not really a coffee drinker, but this one time i went into a starbucks with my girlfriend at the time...and she got something like caramel machiato or something hehe...and so i didn't really know what to order...so i just say i'll take a double espresso thinking i'd be cool and all...
well when i found out what a double espresso was...i got pwned hahha
yea it's kinda overpriced. when i feel like splurging, i treat myself to an iced latte. that's the only thing i ever order from there.
i like just regular coffee. not really into flavored stuff. lots of cream and lots of sugar in mine.
barnie's is pretty good. that's what i drink every morning cuz the little store in my office building sells a small cup of it for .80 cents.
oh yea and DD coffee is pretty damn good...whoever said it sucks is crazy.

Starbucks coffee is but a shell of it's former self, perhaps 5-10 years ago they had good coffee, but not now. But as a corporation, Starbucks is exceptionally forward thinking, community oriented, and globally concious.
It's cool that they've gotten as big as they are and still give back, but for people who really dig coffee, Starbucks probably isn't going to do it for you.
I think there's an ASOT Yearmix analogy in here somewhere...
