Heather,

about how many people were there for deep dish? Was there dancing room at all or was it just pacacckkked. Cause 700 looks like a bit too much for that 1 tiny room, I was thinking maybe half that would be standing room only.

The deep dish show was in setup with two rooms. the mainroom and also the second room that played the same music and also had a bigscreen projector showing Dish's dj booth. Kind of cool as there was plenty of room.

I think there is no need to be negative about any shows in southern california. Several years ago we had to go to major cities such as Miami to catch shows! Now with Avalon, Spundae, and Love we can sit home and enjoy the best djs in our own city. To see AVB in a small room on a Thursday and f/u with him at Spundae is an amazing weekend.
Would you not agree?

So I think I will continue to stay positive as it is these promoters that allow us experience these shows in our own homes.

Wow, you took offense that my post there? I wasn't negative about the show. I know nothing about the venue it's at nor know what to expect.

I simply just stated that whenever you take the time to post a gig, it's always positive positive positive. Even as other people are saying the Deep Dish show was way too packed, you say it wasn't oversold. That's like me saying PvD at Ten15 here in SF is always way too packed and someone else coming in and saying the venue wasn't oversold. Might not have been oversold for the venue, but it was still WAY TOO PACKED for the room PvD was in. And sorry, being in another room with a screen and sound pumped in does not make up for it. If I am going to a place to see a DJ, I want to see the DJ. Not a screen.

Being positive is not a bad thing, but over time it just makes it easy to brush off things that people are nothing but positive say...even subconsiously. That's all.

Don't take things said so seriously...seriously.

I hope we see more in OC. While I'm ready and willing to travel to LA for shows, having the big names come to this part of OC would be much more convenient

You should see Boris alot more than just up in LA, he's a resident at 4th & B in SD. Just about everytime I've made it down to Love Friday's, he's opening. We like to call him Boris Schulz.

Very good, but the idea still stands.

Ive thrown events here in the past, and the dress code has always been strict. I didnt go inside for Deep Dish so i dont know if it was the same. but i did see the crowd coming out and they where very orange county. which means they where dressed to impress.

they do have the option to open up a total of three rooms, with the bigger room bieng in the resteraunt, they didnt do it for deep dish wich was a surprise to me. as i could see him in the booth from outside.

It is kind of cool seeing a DJ in an intimate situation, but the booth is kind of away from the dance floor. there is a ramp that leads to VIP standing in front of the DJ. Either way it is going to be insanley packed, and i expect way more attendance this time around for the promoters, so i hope they prepare for that.

should be a great night for OC. i think if the music catches on in OC, it has the potential to be another san diego market, but better.

OC setup

Pretty sure the setup will be similar to Dish show in April with a custom DJ booth facing the crowd with stacks of sound on either side of the dj booth.

I go to Tentation for hip hop.

The club is not big at all. It's a little bit bigger than Spider Room and the patio is SMALL!!

Generally the kind of crowd there is "THE OC" crowd.. white bougie crowd... dont know how it will be for Armin tho.

Hey everyone,
I've been the the place a long time ago...but I forget the VIP details

I really want to go as this will be my first party after my MBA graduation...

Just wondering if anyone would be interested in getting a VIP table/bottle where we can split the costs?
