nice tune but smith & pledge have done better.

white gets my vote tho as the better of the 2.

6/10 - white
5/10 - black

first tracks i didnt really like from s&p, white is okey but nothing special, black is awful

Posted by Push2005 on May-27-2006 12:27:

Lol; after a second listen I must say I prefer Black over White

White has a nice vibe to it,
But Black is a fantastic end of the night uplifting emotional trancer.

White 7/10
Black 8.5/10

Almost reminds me me of Solarstone - Seven Cities,

Has an "old style" feel to it, nice kicked back melody

6/10, it's not bad, not really good either

When I first heard these two I thought "eh nothing special" but then they went for sale and I listened again and "White" really caught my ear for some reason, so I bought it.

I definitely really like "White" now. The melody is pretty good and captures that euphoric emotion that I like in trance. I don't see why it had to grow on me, but it's a pretty damn good track.

I think my only complaints would be that I that I don't like how the outro enters right after the build down of emotion, I was expecting one more round of epic emotion after that and then an outro but I was wrong

White 8/10
Black 5/10

I love both, White and Black

White is more Chill, and Black it's more accelerated Trancer.

I love both productions.

Anytime I drop Back alive, it just get people crazy, they love it , same as I do =)

Not keen on black, but White is simply superb!

Posted by isoterra on Jul-24-2006 02:18:

didn't rate this release at all, black especially made me cringe hard; it sounds like they've tried their hand at techtrance whilst using a flufftrance soundbank, & the end result sounds laughable. some artists *really* just need to stick to what they know best...

white is more the typical s&p style so works better, but i found it far too fluffy & sugary without any real emotion to it. totally not my style of uplifting either way, i prefer stuff with energy/drive to it

"White" has a somehow old-schoolish "end-of-90s" feel to it and this is why i like it as well. The melody is very simple but it doesn't have a cliche "epic-by-numbers" feel to it which is present in the 90% of current epic/uplifting trance. Nothing new, or special (as usual) but nevertheless good. I found "black" to be a little boring.

"White"- 6,5/10
"black"- 4/10

Personally, I think both Black and White are amazing. Great tunes

great tune

I dont so much people talk about the most boring trance tune of the year. More standard isnt possible for a trance-track. The bass is so weak on this production, melody is absolutely uninspired and weak. The worsest release on Anjunabeats this year so far (and Im likin most of the Anjuna-stuff this year so far & bought nearly every release from them).

I really like White, Black is bleh IMO. If I want to listen to something a little harder-edged I'm certainly not going to listen to Smith & Pledger, Black just doesn't work for me. But big thumbs up on White.
