Originally posted by FunkyGroove well dear, how much do you want out of the camera for $200? good enough zoom and a reasonable size of LCD monitor is more then enough we are not talking about fancy cameras that people like you use, btw
Pin whole camera FTW!

now shhhhshh
most important factor of a digi cam is lens and sensor imo. megapixel is just hte size of hte pic, does not in any way mean quality.

Originally posted by Sasha lol. that's exactly what im talking about! so what makes ur choice better than Fuji? nothing. And trust me, there's no other cheap point-n-shoot camera that can compete with Fuji in sharpness and clarity! fuck Olympus. it's not about megapixels or zoom! btw, Kristina, stop arguing with me, u r going nowhere
quote:
Originally posted by FunkyGroove i'm actually not arguing, just pointing out my opinion wtf? i'm sure she would need at least something for her money, not just some point-n-shoot shite! and stop giving me this "i'm a pro in everything" attitude, hun in other words, cut on carcasm.
= point-n-shoot shite but more expensive and a "not very good quality" camera

Originally posted by Sasha sorry. ur opinion is lame and useless. shuddup!

No I am not smart when it comes to cameras, so don't hate on me for this question.
Is there a HUGE difference between 5 mega pix, and 6?

here is my best tip on buying a digital camera...
if your current budget is $200 then wait a little longer so you can save up $400-500 and buy yourself something that will be worth your while.
dont purchase something that is half-assed.

Originally posted by Sasha it all depends on where and what for is she gonna be using her camera. if it's for clubbing, then $200 camera is the best choice. no reason to spend more than that.

for that price range, u might not choose from plenty of newer cameras on the market. There is this one canon though that sells for about that range. It's One of the new A series cameras and the model is A430. I've sold that camera to alotta people that don't wanna dish out more than $200. Just keep in mind you're going to need a memory card so u can store your pics. The cameras usually come with 16MB... which is hardly enough. BTW the A430 is a 4MP camera aka good enough for 4x6 and to share pics on the net. At the same time it takes 2 x AA batteries. Ofcourse if you've got the cash, SD series is the slickest camera out there. I myself owned an SD300 and now i'm a proud owner of an SD400. My next upgrade is the SD630, which features a 3" screen.
Saying all that, at the moment I use an HP707 (cuz i have to at work) but when i go out, the SD400 is my best friend.
