im really glad im not the only one struggling with creativity rite now. sometimes i can do a pretty good melody, ive only been producing for about 2 months but i have a couple of good friends online that write, that tell me im much better and alot further than they were when they first started, but it just doesnt feel that way sometimes. Like rite now im stuck, i cant come up with a basic 4-8 bar melody for crap like someone mentioned above. maybe its because im stressing and trying to hard, i think i just need to get on my tables and spin for a few days, as it has been a while since i was on them because ive been so focused on producing lately. im just glad im not the only one that goes through this, i always thought i was. I wonder if the pros ever go through this? anyone know?

lmao ive encountered the over tweaking before

kills a perfectly decent mix and nothing u can do to make it sound like it did, when i export my mixes i get loads of them and i can hear the difference between them all, ones got a weak bassline, another u cant hear the drums too well etc

sucks ass but i remember back in the warmer days i was producing like 4 tracks in a day for several days on the trott, good times

now im lucky if i get past making a tune longer than 3 mins

Me too.. I usually write music voraciously, every day, but for the last month and a half, it has not been so.

Perhaps it's something with the seasons and weather or change of environment? =)

Well, there's barbecues, sunshine, and lightly dressed babes this time of year, so.. yeah!
