england isn't that good of a team btw
they won't reach more than last 16 imo and i wont be surprised if they'll go home even after only 3 games on the group stage

Um...this England team is infinitely better than 2002 and they reached the QF and was, according to Brazil squad, their toughest challenge. You're way off.

Germany is NOT going to win this World Cup and neither is Brazil.

wow, that's some deep insight. Is it really that fun to hate one country (for as yet undeclared reasons) so much?

First round exit my ass. Anybody with serious and unbiased knowledge of football knows England will make it past the first round considering the group they're in. After that, without Rooney, who knows but first round....don't hope too much.

you're an ass, what a surprise.

there are like 8 eboue's in the WC

Posted by Dj Smitty20 on Jun-01-2006 03:37:

"emo"...emotional? Seriously I don't pay much attention to internet lingo. Srsly.

And I hated what Crouch did yesterday...robot dance joke or not...it's still showboating and I detest it. Especially coming from him, although it was a nice goal.

Posted by noikeee on Jun-01-2006 08:23:

so players shouldn't celebrate goals?

you surprise me everyday

Posted by raveed on Jun-01-2006 22:47:

Players should celebrate goals like they celebrate 50s in test cricket in england and the crowd should reciprocate by just standing up and applauding.

not like that. I don't want to see football turn into the NFL. It's good to keep respect for the keeper. Same goes with all sports...hockey, baseball (showing off to the pitcher will get you dinged next time you're up, for example).

then go 15 years ago and stop every player from then on from "not showing respect to the keeper". there have been all sorts of ridiculous celebrations for as long as i can remember, and it's fun

Crouch's robot

Posted by Dj Smitty20 on Jun-01-2006 23:10:

I personally don't like it, but whatev. It's just not my style...I never did it when I scored goals in hockey or soccer, or struck out batters in baseball. It's like Tiger Woods celebrations in golf, although they're toned down these days a bit...just not what I want to see. Plus Crouch's thing is a bit silly.

Posted by DRM on Jun-01-2006 23:19:

lmao at people taking crouch's "dance" seriously. He was taking the piss out of himself

ok ok ok...I wasn't making a big deal out of it. Just that if I were a player, I wouldn't do little dances and jests like that.
