Percussions are good and sounds well done.
Bassline gets a bit muddy with the kick, and as pdm said, it is too wide, make it more centered...

Lead is really good, and it doesnt get to repetetive as some said, it works fine and sounds good.

Overall you could make it sound more clean, it all get so muddy when everything plays at the same time, i e the main section. I thinks it's alot depending on the kick/bassline...

commenting on headphones.
Nice bassline but it is too wide.
1:26 The arp is fine, a bit boring & dry. You should have made it softer and with much more delay.
2:30 I was expecting some kind of fx here, maybe 303s.
~2:40 The break comes... Cool pad.
Nice breaks. Maybe add some sutters or more variations.
The break is reallllly long.

Cool fx after the mini break.
Ok I'm bored now... Wait the fx is a vanguard preset right?
Nice arp after the second break.
But you should have tried to make the track more interesting.

4/10
Omer.

youve got great rythms in here ! nice job on the percussion..

imo I dont like the "talking" pad that begins from the start..

the bass sounds really clean, and it doesnt interfere at all with the kick which I find difficult to do..

around 1:33 where the arp comes in.. well I kind of breaks down the nice flow for me, and it works annoying instead of hypnotizing..

the "talking pad" has blend in very nicely now ...

hm..

pads in the break are nice, nice programming.. hehe like the breakbeat ..

wouldve expected a nice melody with the arp, but I guess your going for the more progressive thing..

well it works anyway

5:34 now, im starting to find the track a bit repetitive, a bit too much..

ah I liked that crash !!

ok, second breakdown..
still very much the same in here, keeping the same atmosphere, everything jumps back in again.. personally.. I don't find the 2nd climax necessary..

outro is well build-down, my guess is that it would be very mixable.

production wise awesome, very clean.. but like kopi said a little more focus on melody

please dont think those 9 minutes of my time are wasted

I liked to listen to your track, maybe not too often

Hey,

Beautiful track! I didn't mind the talking pads at the beginning! I suppose its a subjective thing. I didn't notice the bass being that muddy, but you could try eq'ing near 100 hz. the pads are nice and the breaks are right on the money! good stuff! I agree that the track got a bit boring BUT I think thats more the progressive sort of characteristic. OVerall, this is very good work!

hey, thanks for bringing my track back to life.

Drums are deffo the strongest point of this track. Bass is playing a good riff and gives it the proggy feel but it seems a bit muddy. Maybe layer is up? Actually, do that with all your synths, it give this track alot more edge.

Its not a bad track at all, its got nice vibes, but I'm also one of these people who moan about track lenghts and I dont like anything over 7.30 long.

Posted by Subtle on Oct-03-2006 02:42:

thanks for ur comment Pete_B, yeah the bass is a dual layer, i think it pans in to the side too much too.. about track lenght, i have a bad habit making them long
