It would almost be impossible to do a movie based entirely off the comic. With the story arc of the phoenix..

Heres some stuff that she does

1) Destroys the world
2) Is killed my aliens
3) Comes back to life
4) Brings back the world

It was weird tho, staying till the end of the credits while everyone was walking out. Even the ushers came in to collect garbage already...they asked each of us, "do you have any garbage?" lol.

why what happened at the end of the credits

X-men was so over the top. They tried to add so many characters and story lines that it just got ridiculous - even for a comic book movie.

And what was up with moving the bridge? What the hell was the point of that? Get a freaking boat or drop the bridge on the damn facility.

anyway i *would* explain it but i didnt really understand it either when I first watched it -- my friend explained it to me later that night...and since i suck at remembering characters' names, I dont want to embarrass myself haha on here. lol.

yeah...although im NOT a comic fanatic im def intrigued by the preview i saw over the wkend. Nicholas Cage is a good actor so hopefully he will do the role justice...hmm what do u think about him getting picked for the lead role? or is this movie more for the effects? and plot? any other information would be greatly appreciated, i haven't had the chance to look it up yet.

lol cheeze. that is TRUE. then again if they based it directly on the storyline, and im sure devoted fans would watch it. I mean, its based on a comic and it would be kinda science fiction in a sense...or maybe not. im sure it would have an audience...damns now I wanna READ this part of the comic! ahahha

LOS ANGELES, California (Hollywood Reporter) -- Ridley Scott's sci-fi classic "Blade Runner," one of the first movies to appear on DVD in 1997, is being restored and remastered for a brief reissue in September.

The DVD, featuring the 1992 "director's cut," will be deleted after four months, and replaced by a 25th-anniversary "final cut," which Warner Home Video is billing as Scott's "definitive new version" of the film. (Warner Home Video is a unit of Time Warner, as is CNN.)

After a limited theatrical release, the newly spruced-up "Runner" will be released in a multidisc special edition DVD that also will include the original theatrical cut, the expanded international theatrical cut and the 1992 director's cut.

Warner said specifics about the two DVD editions will be announced later.

The director's cut first came out on DVD before optimal formatting standards had been established, said Doug Pratt, editor of the DVD-LaserDisc Newsletter.

"Shortly afterwards, it went into moratorium. The early adopters who bought the title have long since wished to see it upgraded, while other fans, who came into DVDs later on, have been unable to find it at all. It is the only 'big' sci-fi spectacle currently unavailable on DVD," Pratt said.

"Runner" stars Harrison Ford, Rutger Hauer, Sean Young, Edward James Olmos and Daryl Hannah and won plaudits -- as well as two Oscar nominations -- for its dark, bleak vision of the future. Ford heads the cast as Rick Deckard, a futuristic cop -- the film is set in 2019 Los Angeles -- who needs to kill four errant human clones who hijack a spaceship back to Earth after escaping from exile in an off-world colony.

The film opened in theaters in summer 1982, and while it grossed only $26.2 million, it quickly became a cult classic. The film is based on the novel by late science fiction writer Philip K. Dick, whose prose also led to such films as "Total Recall," "Minority Report" and "Paycheck."

What I liked about X3 was the ying yang of hero's. For example, Wolverine is the only one to stop the Phoenix, Magneto can stop Wolverine, etc. One power is dominating against some and useless against another. Juggernaut is awesome. The Beast is lame I think, his powers are wack.

I thought the 2nd one was the best with the first one my least liked (but still good).

My buddy told me to stay past the credits, there was like 25 people left in the theater. Nice little extra.

Magneto is probably my favorite character so I'll be happy to see something with Ian McKellan again. He's money.

The picture is being co-financed by Warner Independent, a new division of WB devoted to serious films with modest budgets..

more action?? MORE ACTION??!! out of the 2 hours or so running time, like hour and fifty minutes of it were action sequences...you wanted the movie to be as long as king kong?? cuz thats the only way youre gonna get all 3 points of concern...i agree with you on the ending and partially on the story, but that had more than enough action to fulfill anyone's needs...any more and we'd all be watching fast and the furious 3....

i for one, actually like the cheesier theatrical version so i am awaiting this re-release like a sweaty palmed kid on xmas morning waiting to pounce on my presents!

as for BLADE RUNNER, iono why but this did not appeal to me when I watched it back in the day...maybe I will have to give this another shot. I usually do like films of this genre. shruggs
