3.785 liters per gallon..

so in contrast by this old thread, europeans pay close to twice as much as us americans do for gas.. insane.

i'm in california and it's freaking $2.10 a gallon

Of course, but that's because Americans have a deep and long lasting love for gas guzzling vehicles which take 20+ gallons to fill up and never take the cost of gas into account when they decide to purchase them.

Meanwhile I drive my little subcompact around which never costs more than 15$ to fill up and can take me several hundred miles on a single tank
