I love that fucking radio station. Probabaly the best out there for prog stuff. I don't hear trancy stuff on it often but the prog that's on there is some top quaility shit. Big ups to all the DJs on there and all the talent, good luck with future careers and so on. Also a huge thanks to the staff to putting their effort into a free station to make it fucking decked out.

It's too bad that this might be considered. Ever since DI went from the paid service now, I was looking for a place to listen. ~2months maybe ETN came. Right time with the right stuff.

I know it may not be closing down but I think I should say what I think about this station.

If there are people in this thread praising the station, it obviously was doing something right.

I really didn't care who was spinning...if a DJ can play the right tracks and beatmatch, I'll at least give them a listen. I still remember Sunday Sunscapes and a set by DJ Redtab...prolly one of the best I've heard online

I'd tend to disagree here. Tranceaddict became shit when people joined to spam their radio show, their digital label, their gigs, labels spamming events, and when the site became less about 'discussion' and more about promotion. It's become generally accepted nowadays that people can't say anything negative, even if it's constructive, and that's where it's all gone wrong. One piece of constructively written criticism can do more good than 100 fanboys talking out of their arses. Sadly now anybody who disagrees is a hater or whatever. What people need to remember is that without tranceaddict, the biggest community of it's kind, most of these shows, sites, stations, labels would have any sort of following, or nowhere near as good as they do. Don't bite the hand that feeds you.

haha i love these little forum battles. its so pointless. still people cant accept different opinions to their own. you get the big headed know it alls who think that people who listen to a certain kind of trance are somehow less intelligent or sophisticated than them, then you get over the top geeky fanboys who feed their flame by throwing ridiculously weak and pathetic arguments back at them. the fact is these geeeky fanboys are the minority. they give armin / asot and similar djs / shows a bad name by acting like retards everytime these djs are critisised. it works both ways.

While I agree that the fanboys don't help, Armin dug his own grave m8.

And on top of that, I'd still like to reiterate that I will most definitely be missing "Obsessions" if ETN does indeed die - I haven't been a fan of a lot of their other shows, a lot of it ends up being background music for me at work, but "Obsessions" is without doubt one of the very few internet radio shows that has been consistently quality... Do most of you guys really think of KT as a "bedroom" dj? Anyone who's making that assumption is really missing out...

I consistently had a few hundred if not more listeners for my "Rising Stars" set, and that aired at 8AM CST on a Sunday morning...

well when i say 0 i mean not many. i actually have no idea how many but rarely got any feedback and the forums werent up and running so there was no way of interacting with any of the listeners. anyway doesnt matter!
