please get over it already... whether or not it SHOULD or SHOULD NOT be labled as such, it IS labeled as such... and thus NOT mislabeled....

So let me get this straight, you'd be PERFECTLY fine if you wrote this book say in 2000, and it was considered a classic and everyone loved it. Then in the year 2070, somebody decides they will take your story, keep the same name, change the ending a bit, and put their name in as the author and you wouldn't feel it was in the least bit plagiarized and even a tad bit creatively violated.

You sir, need to give it a rest.

Amazing track, and the crowd noises add to it for me

i think you've said that the wrong way round.

northpole is the track on magik 6, but it is labelled at F.B.

either way, amazing track!

Who is it here who needs to give it a rest, really?

You fucking whiners have been moaning about this ever since the track came out. It's not going to change. It is titled like that. Get the fuck over it and stop your fucking bitching.

Moron. Tiesto covered Adagio for Strings. This happens everywhere. All credit due was given.

true he covered it, but no person knows it except for the real enthusiasts
average joe thinks its his original work

just like when I got flamed for saiying LL Cool J and J LO ripped off afrika bambaataa...
I know it's sampling, but how many people know the origin of the sample? Not many...

Where do you get off saying that I need to give it a rest? I'm not the one who brought it up in all CAPS shouting like the world needs to know about this *GREAT* crime that has taken place in the EDM scene! Life goes on... life is too short to worry about something like this... and besides this thread is about mislabeled MP3s, NOT whether or not Tiesto deserves to title a track "Adagio For Strings"...

All I'm saying is that YOU were the one freaking out about it, not me.

Sneaker Pimps - Sugar Daddy

was actually...

CJ Bolland - Sugar Is Sweeter <---Click

Sneaker Pimps don't have a track called Sugar Daddy. They do, on the other hand, have a track called Spin Spin Sugar.

I remember finding 'Tiesto - Orgasm' years ago, turned out to be The Orange Theme

Is there an echo in the building?

I think I recall seeing Tiesto - Endless Wave at some point.Funny how many of the mislabelled songs seem to involve Tiesto. That's not a dig, just an observation.

However as far as the whole Tiesto/Adagio saga's concerned. No I don't agree with the way it was labelled and like someone said even though apparent full credit was given to the original artist (Samuel Barber lest we forget) a lot of people won't know or be educated on this. However the version by Skip Raiders was probably even more naughty since a few vocals were put over the top and thus a new title was given even though the theme was still very much Adagio.

Ferry Corsten's version had it more or-less right. Although Ferry's mix was based on the theme composed by Samuel Barber so it's questionable whether or not William Orbit should've got credit in this instance. Who knows, he might own the full rights to the composition now! lol

What more do you want Tiesto to do? cook him dinner? He gave him credit and paid old samuels next of kin money.

Ferry remixed the William Orbit interpritation.
