And yes i've used various distributions for a while but it gets annoying after a while, ever heard of user friendliness?

Win 2k was a fantastic OS. Best one they've made, but it was more aimed at a professional user and not the 'average user'

Linux has a solid driver base, but games won't come out for Linux due to the open source agreement with software, and also everything (should be?) free for Linux.

I've been learning Suse 10.1 for the last few months and its really hard to get into. Installing, uninstalling, file system, user accounts is so alien to Windows its hard to begin with, but it's these changes that make it 10x more secure than Windows.

Tho i will admit MS looks alot prettier and more professional, but then they pay designers billions to make it look pretty.

LLuckily you can customize Linux down to the last icon. So if you need it to look professional it can. I've been running SuSE for quite som time as well with no problems.

Just because Linux is open source doesnt mean the games have to be. I wouldn'tmind paying for a well designed game made for Linux. Quake 4 was released for L...not necessarily the best game but a step in the right direction.

Im still running 2k Pro today....have always had a smoother time than XP on a few of my systems

im hopfully getting my own PC near the end of the year and ill use Linux as my primary OS. I'll dual boot it with Vista for games

Posted by Nrg2Nfinit on Jun-12-2006 00:40:

the only reason i like xp over 2k is the image feature and the search seems to work much bettter

other than that it eats up all my resources. i dont have 512 ram so i wont be getting vista.. ill stick to xp or maybe even down grade if things start runnign to slow

is this hearsay or is there any truth in this? I'm assuming the former.

microsoft would be pretty retarded to incorporate such a feature into vista

firstly, they know that a large portion of the public do not purchase mp3s legally and which will result in less copies being sold of a product that analysts have already given a thumbs down to and secondly it will send more customers to apple given that itunes is the majority share holder in the mp3 market
