so remember how I was supposed to leave early? well yeah... I stayed till the end I will write my reviews for vibe and lawler 2moro. HOWEVER....2 SONGS THAT MADE MY NIGHT...neeeedddd to be ID'D

hhmm lawler? i expected more by the hype from other events, but he was average, like it was bumpin but wasn't mind blowing.

Getting kicked out of Gallery for blazing chronic kinda sucked, thats the least harmful drug that anyone does in guv... got back in to check out skybar, this was nice. Althought rather chilly i loved the open sky and sunrise, again the tunes were mediocre. Wtf is up with those showers lol

wicked nite Guv patio CORNER rocked the shits!! and stayed till the END at skybar I HAVE never danced in so many corners and empty space pockets in my life I HAD FUN! I love sunrise parties and lawler ....ppl were throwin it down everywhere it was AWESOME!!!!!

i knew it would be incredible!

It was a really good night but I have to say that my highlight was in the gallery at around 1:30 and whatever DJ that was on (I didn't bother finding out who was on) dropped Kaiser Souzai - Girl (You'll be a woman soon) (Club Mix). I went nuts, I f***ing love that track.

Dude, why didn't you get up and inform security? I would've had them thrown out immediately. All we need is their used needles to stab someone accidentally. Got there early, so many people had puked on floors by midnight. Seriously, the Acid Lounge reeked from it at 1 point. Musta been amateur night at the Guv. Comfort was short-lived, as the club filled up retardedly packed again. Its the Guv, do we expect anything less? Very hard to enjoy yourself when every spot in the place has a constant flow of human traffic pushing by in extreme heat. Very hard to find or keep track of people in there as a result. If I was lucky enough to see someone at all, I was even luckier to spot them a 2nd time around. Finally found some comfort on the patio, tho some dick had to ruin the vibe and put us on 'alert' cuz he asked some guy for a cigarette, he said no (cuz he only had 3 left), and dickhead thinks that warrants a reason to fight.

Barato played awesome sets. My friend from Miami (Karma) enjoyed him more than Lawler. Lawler- pretty good beats, but nothing nearly as mind-twisting as the WMC set. Froze our butts off on the SkyBar (and look how NICE it is today...), but luckily we had a couch to lie on. I shoulda coat checked a sleeping bag or blanket in anticipation, it was so chilly. Regardless, I felt like I was hearing so many songs repeated from the main room sets up there- WTF? Ended up leaving at 6:30 or so- needed some sleep b4 a family luncheon.

Happy birthday again to all the birthday peeps.

that would be Addy. His set was simply amazing! And I'm not even gonna say anything about Sydney's set... since most of u prolly think i'm biased. I just wanna hear from those of u who were in the gallery from 2 to 4

omg, dancing in the booth to dirrrty beats for 2 hrs made my night

first plan was for my attendance to be a surprise..
second plan was no guv ( I got kicked in the face during my dance recital on friday..it hurt and resulted in a black eye)
then Oreo bought me a numerous amount of sunglasses so I could still attend lol (thank you!)

Since i was told Lawler spins around 1, I decided not to worry about being early last night. Walked in after midnight sometime through the gallery...man... first impression - i havnt seen it so packed in some time

Went up to the sky bar (brrrrr cold!) maybe 15 minutes I lasted
but M&S were mmmm

and finally left at almost 5

met a bunch of TAs ofcourse - great seing you guys!

overall pretty crazy night

all i can say is this is one of those nights that goes down in history of events for me... barato.. fkn impressed me... addy got me groovin in the gallery... sydney floored me... and dekoze well... combined with sydney blu words cannot describe how amazing they are!!... oliver even played a great set afterwards but... lawler.. boy o boy... his set in guv was great but i wanted to save my nrg for his sunrise set instead.... the skybar set blew me away I was jumping in front of the stage all over the place... the sun shining bright... brought back so much energy... bursts of light and energy.. in tune with his music melodies.. the beats of lawler... house music on a patio in broad day light... pricless... it made up for the set i missed with him and sasha.. so i was happy... oh so very happy.. ended up at zone after for the first time.. quite the experience.. saw sydney and dekoze spin again.. needless to say i am quite tired.. and my footsies hurt.. ... i even wore comfy shoes.. honestly this entire night/morning.. was PRICELESS.. you had to be there..
every room last night was pumping!! not one bad thing about last night.. the only thing that did piss me off were the bouncers at guv... ya they were just doin their job but they did alot of pissing off last night.. lmao... not with me but ne one.. lol..

I have to agree with Sasha this time. I made a short stop in Gallery while Sydney was on and i stayed almost an hour and i am glad i did. Fa Kin Su Pah Miss Sydney !!! You Have Got It.

Great vibe at Sky-bar

Ok I had an awesome time. Brought my friend Mike that I work with..he's NEVER been to a Toronto club and he had an awesome time as well.

Spent a good majority of the night in the Gallery and holy sh*t! Wikked beats! Dirty dirty stuff...I was lovin it. That's what I came to dance to and was not disappointed one bit! Loved the remix of 'Who's your daddy' hahaha! (Don't remember who dropped it but it was hilarious.)

Went up to skybar at about 5:45 to check out Lawler and it was PACKED up there. Mike and I were gonna leave at 6 but ended up stayin till 7 ish.... I thought I was done dancin but as soon as I got up there, I got a second wind..haha! It was incredible.

Sorry I missed sayin bye to you, Dan! And goin to Kelly's (potentially) to chill with you guys. I looked for you!!!

Had an awesome time with Brant (Kain?), Samalama and Dan...and their friend Tony! haha...you guys are awesome!!! Good seein everyone again! You all know who you are! Great to meet some new people officially as well...

Lawler blew the place up and Nathan Barato did a sweet job opening it up. Coincidently last Saturday I saw Barato at Phoenix in London and he played hard and long to a small group of hardcore partiers...definitely dirty dirty electro that foreshadowed his Guv performance.

Got in to Guv around 245 and it was rammed as everyone else said...got right to the front and watched Lawler mash up the main room, but it got far better on skybar, the weather got warmer and the body heat made it comfortable. Normally I get "the fear" of the morning and sun, but Lawler put it to be with a banging set for an up for it crowd...met some greta new people, others who've seen my tall ass before but I never knew and tons of people I saw at Richie Hawtin back in May. Great crowd, great set, ripped it til 830 and finished with some melodic radiohead. Btw, his new CD is solid and totally mirrors his Guv set, definitely worth the pickup if you didn't snag one on the rooftop.

Totally worth the wait, didn't get to the skybar show last year, so no way to compare but definitely a fav for 06.
