well I probably had the worst possible night EVER!!

I arrived at the club early, saw a couple people, said hello to friends and was on the dance floor when SVD went on. After 3 tracks one of my friends went missing. I had to go look for him. I found out he had gotten into a fight with someone trying to dance with his wife

He didn't get kicked out but refused to re enter the club because he was afraid of getting arrested or something stupid.

So all told, I heard 3 tracks that SVD laid down before I had to leave and take my drunk ass friend home.

I was SO PISSED.

I'm glad the night was good, and I really hope spundae brings SVD back to LA again, next time I won't bring my stupid friend!!

damn i would not have let a drunk asshole ruin my night, should have gave him the number to a cab co.... i guess you're a better friend than i, i would just let my grown ass adult friend be responsible for his own choices

Yeah, a cab wouldn't take him to Orange County plus he had no cash on him, so he would have had to hang out with the hookers up in Hollywood for 4 hours while we danced around if we hadn't left.

Not a good situation to be in.

Next time he comes, though, I'll be there the whole night for sure.

That night was certainly a great night, despite the wave of weird couples dancing like they were being exorcised, when Sander came on at 12:00--I knew it was on. He seemed to be enjoying himself a lot, and always had a genuine smile on all the time. I can't believe I chatted with him! I was sitting outside on the bench around 3:30, and I a group of people in front of me chatting, and a short guy that was the center of attention, and with closer inspection it was Sander. It was just so cool seeing him interact with his fans, being all casual smoking a cigarrete in one hand and the other a redbull.

I was the asian fellow,btw, wearing the white- beater with "TA" written with a marker. I met a few TA heads there, I saw electrophile having a BLAST, and met a few TA heads outside while talking to the man, himself.

I came to the show last minute, all the way from SD, and skipped crucial time studying for a calculus final, but it was worth it. I didn't want to have all these regrets about missing Sander, since I don't know when the next time he will be in the california area.

What did you guys think of the venue? I think it was just mediocre, the mainstage where sander perfomed seemed a little narrow. And the services there were absurd, 25$ mininum for card purchases, and ten dollars for a puny red bull and vodka. Oh well.

Any TA heads in SD that know know of any essential DJs coming up, let me know!

P.S. to the TA heads I met while talking to sander, did you guys mention some BBC radio show going on, I forgot where and when to find it in Itunes.

Cody was on when we got there, I always love Cody Lee!

The people that were there LOVEDDDDDDD SANDER!! And were there specifically for him! I think that guy has super star potential! Sander did a great job, looked totally into it! Seriously having fun and loving every minute of it!!

I could have puked when he played SOS though... DAMN I HATE THAAAT SONG!! Yes, I know its his remix..but... ICK!

I don't really remember seeing any Dj's in the upstairs.... But then again I wasn't up there too long to pay attention.

I was going between the main room and the back room all night.
The back room was ok.. not as crowded as I hoped. Seriously a slow night at spundae...

I caught all of Jokten's set.. I was digging it. Made friends with his girlfriend and had to keep boys from leechin onto her!! Now I know what Michelle feels like swating boys off me!! Damn boys and their NORDIC TRACK dance!! And penis in the ass dance! (as Michelle would call it!!)

I had fun watching everyone have fun..

I did lose my phone though...THAT SUCKS!

Overall it was a fun night. I spent most of my time outside talking and meeting new people. Two drinks of Redbull and Jager and that had me buzzed all night. I love how Ernesto always takes care of everyone upstairs.

Great seeing my favorite TAs again and also meeting some new ones...... Gehzumteufel i couldnt stop laughing at how Bob was pronouncing your user name.

Thanks again Bob for supplying the after hrs. Riia, It was great hanging out with you again. It had been so long.

I have to agree with most of the people here: SvD did a great job and I'm already looking forward to the next time he plays here (whenever that may be). SvD definitely has a bright future ahead of him.

I took only a few pics because I got to the club pretty late and the turnout wasn't that good unfortunately. Here they are anyway:
