The ref from the Japan-Australia game admitted later on that he had made a mistake with the Japanese goal and that he should've disallowed it.

Was just going to write this, and yes, It's true that he didn't do shit and the Spanish fag got a penalty kick. Sad

1. Germany-Costa Rica: one of Wanchope's goals was offside
2. Argentina-Ivory Coast: wrongly disallowed goal to Argentina
3. Italy-Ghana: one penalty not awarded to Ghana
4. Italy-Ghana: massive oportunity for Italy awarded wrongly an offside
5. Italy-Ghana: on the same play, Kuffour not been given a card after a barbaric tackle from behind that would deserve a red card
6. France-Switzerland: handball on the area not given a penalty
7. Spain-Ukraine: ridiculous penalty and red card given when there wasn't contact whatsoever

Several replays confirmed he flopped and dove. Just another play where someone was diving like a wild dolphin near the goal trying to earn a penalty. The ref made the right call.

there were two different penalty claims in the 2nd half. i thought the second was a dive like you said, the first was a clear penalty IMO.

+1, I mean as long as it not painfully obvious and game threatning like i dunno a goal scored with a hand

who cares about the Ukraine bad call, they were playing so freakin horribly anyways, it didnt make a huge difference in the game.

it seems tackling has been pretty much outlawed. Its a joke really. The games turning into basketball.

i have seen the refs make some amazing calls this world cup. shit i had to see in replay TWICE to agree with the damn call........

...but give them props.....one miss call makes up for the 5 calls they make on point.

The best referee in the world... ever.

The referee in the Ecuador vs. Costa Rica game was horrible, he gave yellow cards for delaying the game in the first half which is really lame, Ecuador didn't even score the first goal when this happened.

He also gave the an Ecuadorian defender a yellow card for NOT touching Paolo Wanchope. He was really bad, no matter how much I don't want to flame him :z

no it's not lame, it's the new FIFA rules for this world cup and i agree 100% with it. wasting time should be punished.

i agree he made a couple dodgy calls tho, but those weren't about delaying the game.
