I'm sure a lot of your other opinions are very intelligent, well thought out and sensible, I just don't think this one is. But then again we are all hipocrits, no one can escape that. Just because they way beef is red before you cook it you wont eat it whereas chicken is a little pinker- I just don't understand why that subtle difference freaks you out. Have you ever had Bluefin Tuna? EXACT same color as beef, red and bloody- if you saw that would it trip you out as well?

exactly...no one has to agree with everything someone says. and maybe i was too vague in the initial post (a lot of the time i am very vague in the stuff that i say). we all have our own opinions but the only reason i got uppity was because some people were being a bit harsh. ANYHOW, i never had bluefin tuna. i'm just saying that i will not eat anything where i can SEE the blood coming out of it WHEN i'm cooking. i know blood comes out of it when it's being killed and when it's being prepared at the factory, but when I'M cooking it, i don't want to see any traces of blood (i know that there will be minute amounts but as long as i don't see it, i'm cool). as for the chicken, fish and turkey i cook, i don't see the blood come out of it the way i do if i was cooking beef. that's the ONLY thing. like i said, it's mainly just an "all-in-my-head" thing. it's one of my "things".

and thanks for answering my post in a mature manner.

no, i don't order it, but there have been a couple of times i ate a bit of a beef patty or gyoza (fried dumplings that can contain either pork or beef).

Right on. I eat pretty much anything once (apart from bugs) and if it tastes good, I'm happy- The way it's prepared is irrelevant to me as long as it is clean/doesn't make me sick.

yeah...if it tastes good, i should have no qualms about it! and definitely eating food that doesn't make me sick is a good thing too...

Yeah I've been living in third world countries the last 10 years and a lot of time the food tastes great but... I personally barely get sick from street food etc, but I know a lot of people who do.
