Haha, we still dance to Cotton Eye Joe every now and then in the nightclub I go to

Gunther with his ding dong song should be in that list.

LOL I'm seeing a pattern here. Sweden is the base of all shit dance music. Gnther, Rednex, Basshunter =((((

And I thought Holland was nr 1 in crap music.

Yeah, that was a great song, but it was made earlier by Peter Weekers, Rednex just reworked it with guitars and put vocal in it.

Posted by Quethas on Jun-18-2006 10:50:

Honsestly I think that Scooter have made lot worse tracks than I'm Raving. THIS for an example.

But damn what I know there... They are just big rubbish.

I officially declare Scooter as the worst electronic dance music producer of all time.
They are responsible of thousands of cases of bleeding ears.

This is actually their second comeback. They did one six years ago with "The Spirit of the hawk". That tune is actually not bad and borrows heavily from Dance 2 Trance - Power of american natives and Peyote - I will fight no more forever

In 1995 they actually made a love ballad called "Wish you were here" which many Swedes still rank as Rednex best tune.

You forgot the "comeback" in 2002 with "Cotton Eye Joe 2002"

No kidding! http://www.discogs.com/release/123332

to be fair they do have some nice songs in their back catalogue. Rhapsody In E for one.

Posted by Nrg2Nfinit on Jun-18-2006 16:56:

hey hey hey whats going on

that was pretty shitty part on the vocalist,

but you should complain about the original 4 non blondes version

dj miko just added a eurobeat to that origial (although behind dj miko is factory team and with mauro farina)

really its hte vocals that kill the track not the electronic aspect of it..but yeah overall i say thumbs down

Personally I love all of Scooter's music from the 90s, LOL. Just fun guilty pleasure stuff that doesnt take it self too seriously for the most part. Much of their stuff released after 2000 wasn't as good, though "Fuck The Millenium" rocked, as did their Ratty alias releases. All the tunes with shoutouts to super moshie though were pure crap, haha.
They also had quality releases back in the day like "Rhapsody In E". Even some of the remixes to "I'm Ravin" were ace, like the Taucher remix. I mean, really, Scooter actually helped me get into Trance.

It's funny Mixmag mentions a lot of records on that worst records list that were big in Scotland. as it turns out, Scooter were highly influenced by hardcore act Ultra Sonic...who later recorded under the name Public Domain

that explains a lot

I completely forgot about that doop thing, truely disgusting.
Scooter's quality speaks for itself tbh.

Hardcore!!!

Some may disagree (amazingly) but I thought Yomanda - Synth & Strings was vomit inducing. It made it to the top 20 in the pop chart

Some tune called Rhubard & Custard was also highly repulsive.

Someone should do a megamix of the list. sure to kill anyone who dares listen to it.
btw I kinda like barbie girl.

That was by Shaft.

I'm adding my whole collection to discogs and I'm ashamed to say that Robert Ferrera - Ambassador's Party tune is in it. Unfortunately it's not listed on the site so I'm going to have the dubious honour of adding it...
