best striker of the tournament - Hernan Crespo, even though he sat out the third game.

best overall player of the tournament - I'm gonna go with a keeper - Jens Lehmann. First of all the man won the starting job from Mr. Kahn himself. And after a shaky first game - which he really can't be faulted for - he has kept two clean sheets against a gutsy Poland and eventually Germany broke through in that one, then against Ecuador where they had really decent shots - all the while having a bum knee.
I think this man will only get better come 2nd round and I see Germany going far in the tournament because of great goalkeeping - among other things.

I'm sure Fabregas is going to be mentioned here in a near future. He hasn't played much yet but he showed excellent skills against Ukraine & Tunisia (If I remember right , he was directly involved in the first 2 goals against Tunisia)

Riquelme, just a star!

Lucas Neil was fantastic, so was Craig Moore. They were fighting like they never got tired, impressing to see the fitness on the Australian players.

Rafa reminds me of Fernando Hierro: very intelligent, can play in the middle or in the defensive line, great long pass, brilliant header, and is a nice FK kicker.
