No way we can pull this trade off,we need to add a second draft pick or something in order for it to work ... i couldnt belive it when the Knicks offered the Expiring contract of Penny for Miles and Ratliff and that idiot Nash declined

Sergio Rodrguez is a very nice PG: fast hands, great speed, and is a leader.

Brandon Roy will probably win ROY because he's the most complete player in the draft as he does everything well. He just doesn't do anything exceptionally well. I wouldn't be disappointed with him though. Will he be a star or will he be a nice complementary player?

i think he'll be somewhere in between. i can see him averaging about 10-15 points game, becoming an essential part to whatever team he goes to. I dont know about becoming a star though. But, you never can tell.

i heard his defense is suspect though

a lot of rumors have the sacramento kings drafting him but i diasgree because

1) petrie never follows the consensus hehe

2) the team is going in a more "defensive" direction, having a suspect PG defender next to artest and bozni doesnt make much sense now.

3) the kings gave up jwill straight up for mike bibby, showing that the era of the flashy/high TO player in sac is done.

that being said i think s-rod is a project and might be rewarding to teams that have the patience to devolp him

according to espn radio reports, toronto looks like they have a strong showing to choose rudy gay for their first pick in the draft . if they do, he will reunite with former teammate charlie villanueva, and team up with chris bosh and morris peterson. with the emergence of mike james, and the development of joey graham, toronto looks like it will be a high flying team next year if things go the right way . haha .

Toronto has signed Jorge Garbajosa, one of the best forwards in Europe.

Brandon Roy is the top guy in this draft in my eyes. In two years or so he'll be a copy of poor man's Wade. Trash me all you want but he's good. Saw him in person and the guy is a mature leader with great hands. He's shot is smooth. He needs to work on defence though.

My Blazers traded Sebastian Telfair for the 7th pick. There is some other players involved but that's the main deal. Telfair was gonna be the backup to Jarrett Jack anyway and is a classic NY point guard. Which is:

1. Quick point guard who will commit the turnover to make the flashy pass instead of the good pass
2. Can't shoot his way out of a paper bag (unless gets streaky hot)
3. Too small to play any kind of noteworthy defense
4. Arrogant and doesn't fit into the team concept making his team worse

See Stephon Marbury as a leading example.

Hopefully Brandon Roy will slip to Portland at 7. That is what I'm hearing at the moment but we'll see. Woo HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo Picks 4 & 7 now. I'm excited.

Curious where Morrison is gonna go....

yay!!! portland screwed them all hehe
Brandon Roy and that Alderidge kid which is the best in this draft imo for Telfair and a 4th draft pick, i love danny Ainge!:-)

Im not sure i want The Blazers to open with Randolph and Alderidge though because of the defensive issue that's created when opening with 2 PF's - especially when one of them is Randolph...

is vlad the GM for Portland?

brandon roy is the fucking shit. Im as hardcore of a UW basketball fan as there ever will be. Saw every game for the last 3 years. Just to let you know though, he doesnt need to work on his defense. thats actually one of his strong points. He came into the draft as being the most "complete" player.

i loved the interviews w/ knicks fans during their 1st rounders eheheh

isiah is a bum!

Isiah has probably been a bit distracted by recent events

Maybe the picks will work out, but I wonder if anyone can take him seriously anymore
Other GM's will probably milk him for the little that the Knicks have
It wouldn't surprise me if Frye gets traded for some scrub or has-been

We got Darius Miles for you.

I'm pumped about the Blazers draft. 2 potential stars in Aldridge and Roy. Those 2 guys were on the top of my list as you can see from my previous posts. They created a lot of excitement with 6 freaking trades (a new record) that the lowly franchise desperately needed. I'm looking forward to seeing these guys develop and for Roy to win ROY.

Isiah... lol I loved with Spike Lee started laughing and said "he's a sleeper" right after the draft pick in a sarcastic tone. Too funny. Knicks are the worst franchise in professional sports, hands down!!!

didnt see the draft but heard this today ,lol @ the exchange of unpleasentrys between David Stern and Dan Patrick

Posted by Porky on Jun-29-2006 20:25:

isn't the knicks payroll like.... 160gazillion?

im sure the other gm's in the league love isiah for the luxury tax the knicks pay them!

Posted by medinaM5 on Jun-29-2006 20:28:

god damn the sonics...

lets go bobcats

Posted by InterMilan31 on Jun-29-2006 20:36:

the draft really blew i only see a few potential stars and maybe one possible starting allstar.

that spanish point guard is great but will need some strong learning to make it in the NBA. No bias or anything but I really love Bargnani Ive seen him a bunch and he truly is a star. Will fit in well with the Raptors and Bosh. That Colangelo is making that team great for years to come.

Knicks completly fucked it up ppl say this guy Ronaldo (im calling him that now) is a sleeper well he must have sleeped through college...I really dont like this guy. I cant complain about the passing on the UCONN guard thats the last thing we need.

Fucking Knicks

reading up on the draft and I found this quote on it funny

"The fans at MSG were booing, of course, but Isiah said in a claim that seems unique to his brain that the Suns were planning to trade up to pick Balkman. To which the Suns surely replied, Whos Renaldo Balkman? Isiah describes him as a Rodman/Artest type. Awesome!

was looking for a video clip of Sterns and Patricks little squabble but instead found something even better as some fans were heckling Stephen A. Smith lol

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nAB5lOIl-2U

in other Isiah Thomas news he starting another business, I give it 6 months tops

You're right.. I saw the Huskies when they played Air Force early in the season last year and they were dropping three's all over the place. His defence isn't NBA shut down type but, its better then most guys who are coming out.

i think it's all a conspiracy theory . seattle throws in the white towel early next year, and have the one of the worst records in the league. they get a good lottery pick, and pick allen ray next year . that way, the sonics have ray allen and allen ray. david stern is setting this up. damn him !
