i think every job has its pluses and minuses.

for me i look at every job as a chance to learn some more skills which i can apply to new positions. so yes I like my job with the thought that the future will be greener

i hated the one that i stopped "working" at today. i started training there (a hair salon) yesterday and today i called in at 8:45 saying i wasn't appropriate for the job. usually i'll put up with a job that might suck a bit, but this one i was supposed to do for the rest of the summer sucked more than a kid with a lollipop.

I can't wait to graduate next year and be working as an radiologic tech

radiologic tech? you use PAX - when you say tech you referring to pax engineering?

we use a system called PACS which stores the images we take for doctors to access

is that what you're talking about?

i sit at work, mostly on the internet everyday. boring, but im getting paid.

Yes I'm sorry I meant PACS, I was actually quite interested in the field (from the IT perspective) for a few years, decided to stick with business.

What's your involvement with it being a "radiologic tech"?

I take the images, some digital, some still on film, but everyone will eventually be digital (where tou take the image and the x-ray appears on a computer screen)

It's such an amazing field, not to mention job security when I graduate and making 40,000+ right out of school
and it's only a 2 year program
not bad not bad!

cool, reason im asking is my friend is currently a pacs administrator and he's pretty fluent in the field. wanted to know how involved it was, even though i began to study some of the clusters of software packages that are usually deployed with various pacs systems.

I opted for business now lol

been working at an average of 12 hours a day this week. tomorrow i'll be looking at another 12, and i have to work on saturday too. i don't mind it, really. but i had one job-related nightmare
