For example, Jon really showed us lastnight he is more of a sleazy, sexy shit.

great night, great venue...we had a blast, as usual....

Can't get enough of our TOTA family...all such amazing people...

The music was at it's normal "high" standard...I would throw our TA DJs up against anything I have seen in town...

Had a long chat with Andrew about some marketing angles for Jeff's career..

Can't decide whether we will call him "DJ Buttonhole"...or whether his female groupies will be called "the Buttonholes" or maybe "the buttonhos"...would love your opinions...

As for Jon Jon....this is your weekend babe....just let us know when and where and we will bring the giant closet for you to come screaming out of!

I have been spoiled....

Jon Jon you know I love your sets dude. You are by far my favorite TOTA DJ but I have to say it....

Jon Jon is NOT I repeat NOT an opening DJ. Don't take this the wrong way I think Jon is awesome, I have never heard him trainwreak and he has never disappointed EVER. I believe that Jon could play an unbelievable opening set, but not its just not what I am used to. He is that DJ up in the booth that gets the crowd rockin with his tunes and intereaction. The tunes you laid down were great last night, but not PURE Jon Jon style (IMO). Thats what I expected coming out. You have spoiled me man, I guess I just expect the same vibe anytime I see you behind the decks.

Jeff what can I say. You are getting better everytime I hear you, but I just wasn't feeling your set last night either. Very slow - I know it was a Wednesday night - but when I go out at any point in the week I expect to bust it.... I just couldn't do that last night.

Overall I had a great night hangin out with everyone. Always fun getting silly on the dance for with ya Hil. We were pulling some pretty rockin moves...
MK you rock girl. Thanks for everything yesterday.

I can see these Wednesday nights being very fun in the summer. Fez you need to get that patio up and running though. Stupid by-laws...

Jeff, I think these wednesday nights will teach you alot, and it will be good to get a public spot rather than private house parties. Make sure to keep your "catch tunes" but don't save them all for the end... and you will keep us rockin all night

LEARNING EXPERIENCE.

Tara, while i understand the points you make i should make something clear. The timeslots that are given to the dj's who play these nights DO NOT reflect their talent/experience what so ever. We all know that Jon is at his best when he is playing big tunes, and he will have an opportunity to do this very shortly (i am hoping July 12th). I was told by Korhan he wanted to take things a little darker, so that was my reasoning for putting jon first - to keep better flow musically, and IMO - he did a fantastic job starting the night off the right way.

Yeah, well like i said in my review - i wasnt feeling the sound i started with either.... thats why i decided to flip the style, and play some bigger tunes towards the end. It's tough to get a feel for what to play when it's your first time in a new venue, and i tried my best to switch it up... and towards the end - it was good to see people on their feet, busting it out large

Sorry couldn't make it out...I can't remember much after getting sloshed after PT's win.

I also promised an effort of being there last night but alas drunk patio girls stalled it to the point of no return.
Next week.

Super tired driving in for this one, but once there I soon remembered that my friends make it worth the while. Jon spun a really neat and tidy bouncey set, which normally isn't my cup of tea, but he's managed to open my ears to a different sound that I've been enjoying more and more with each set...awesome job man!!
Jeff hopped in dooth and kept the vibe flowing really well, pretty groovey shit that complimented Jon's set really well...it's unreal how fast you've progressed since the first time you spun at the cottage. The place itself is a really cool layout, too bad they cant open the big doors and too bad there wasn't more people...but what do you expect for a wednesday?...good times
