did you start watching football yesterday? diving in order to get free kicks or penalties is part of the game, anyone would've taken that dive to win the game.

as an australian i feel very cheated. but the fact that we were a man up and had ample chances to score, show how good the italian defence is, but i think australia did dominate the possession even during the first half, but we lacked creativity, where as everytime the italians got the ball i held my breathe.

My biggest annoyance with the World Cup is all the morons who every 4 years suddenly know everything there is to know about football.

just because he could've avoided the other player, doesnt mean he had to, if he had, no foul no harm, but he didnt so it is a yellow card cuz the player was obstructing even if he was just laying there. its a technicality but its up to the ref and it was a posible call. even at that, let's say the penalty hadnt been given, and they had gone to extra time, surely italy would've won. the australians didnt score in a 10-11 position for 40mins, and italy had way more chances to score, so why would australia win? just because you wanted them to? given, its imposible to predict an outcome, but italy was favorite to win that match even in extra time with 10 players.
