I've got doubts on it. Adriano appears to be very slightly in front of the Ghana defender at the time of the pass.

It was legal, it was just Ghana complaining about it after their good effort and now they've fallen behind 2-0

i just love how the argentinian is the only one in this thread with conviction that it was legal

Posted by RapidFire on Jun-27-2006 15:53:

yeah I think that was slightly offside.

Posted by Elior on Jun-27-2006 15:54:

Don't know if the second goal was legal or not, but it's an entertaining game so far
Also great to see Ronaldo is fit again, broke the record and all...

Posted by LuNaSeA on Jun-27-2006 15:54:

god fucking damn it--- the brazilians are very lucky... their attack might be amazing but ghana's penetrating their defense like a 5 dolla hoe.

1> ronaldinho should have gotten a card for that tackle imo.
2> adriano was just offside on the 2nd goal (center field run)
3> dida's block after ghana's corner kick was a lucky accident or else they def. would have had that goal.

i'm so mad. ghana's playing good but during one of the last attack where one of them shot from like 40 yards away was stupid, he had so much room to pass and set it up but didn't.

I can't watch at work because I'd need a legit excuse for IT to upgrade my flash player, but my girlfriend is watching at work and she said the replays at half show him being off pretty obviously.

Posted by Lira on Jun-27-2006 15:56:

Damn referees

Really, can't we have robots replace them?

Posted by LittleGoku on Jun-27-2006 15:56:

hey hey hey.....ghana's entire team has yellow cards for their rough play

btw congrats to ronaldo! he danced all over kingson

Posted by Zayatz on Jun-27-2006 15:57:

it was offside but the side referee did not rise the flag...

I'm all for it if he streaks, that would be the bestest goal ever

the sun has set on ghana. goodbye to my fave underdogs in this wc.

Posted by InterMilan31 on Jun-27-2006 16:52:

well that was disapointing wish Ghana had Essien might had been different a bit.

notice how Grodo doesnt swtich shirts.....

Posted by noikeee on Jun-27-2006 16:55:

Ghana basically conceded all the goals due to their offside trap, and tried zillions of shots wide or high. Brazil only had to defend well and very ocasionally do something in attack.

They're definitely one of the most effective teams in the cup, yet so far didn't really dominate and impress as much as it was expected. Ronaldinho is clearly on crap form and does nothing for the entire games except for 1 or 2 brilliant passes out of the blue. It just feels very strange, almost frustrating, to see a team playing like this, yet cruising to win the cup. They're expectionally good but haven't been exciting at all, that's why I'd prefer Argentina to win it.

Posted by SidMl on Jun-27-2006 16:56:

That's a shame. Ghana really had it in them to be able to put up a fight. The last 15 mins were a joke. They were taking any shot at goal they got without any thought. lol @ "anti-aircraft football"

Posted by Groundhog Boy on Jun-27-2006 16:59:

22 shots without a goal is pathetic. That stat tells you that they weren't even trying to get good shots, just shots, hoping they'd sneak one in.
