i wish i still had some of my older anime ones but they've been lost in formatted hard drives and the loss of my webspace. i've been making them for years but i've never really liked the big effects. i tried using them for a while but then i think they just look tacky. i'd much rather just use a photo or an image i love and resize and cut it until it looks it's best. then add a few small bits but to keep the original image as the primary eye candy.

im such a geek.

Ian (Redeye) created a post padding thread in his NY forum. It was a thread where people could post just to increase their post count so they could gain custom status. There was a huge difference between that garbage and our thread.

Our thread was a conversation thread. The west coast forum was dead in those days. No one knew anyone. Through that thread, we got to know each other and formed friendships.

Sure, dumbshits came into the thread and posted just to up their post count. Dumbshits will go into any thread.

But that is not what the bulk of the posts were about. Most of us were too young to go to clubs and didn't know any or only one or two other TAs when that thread started.

The worst spam in the thread came from you and your buddies. Now, it amazes me. One of your buddies, a mod, understands what it was all about, what we were all about in that thread. He has a thread like this going on in FLTA. Gee. Imagine that.

Why don't you and the others go close his thread down, Mikey Mike? Geez, dump 50 posts of cacti in there. That would be mature.
