Ive had a decent amt of seat time in the new GTi...and its overall a big meh. Not worth the coin. So other then possibly good gas mileage I wouldnt want the less powerful and worse handling rabbit.

Hahah good gas mileage, 29mpg highway is pretty fucking shit for this car, considering Corvettes get that.

That's the only real drawback I can see. I wouldn't pay $30k+ for a GTI either, but $20k for a Rabbit is pretty damn good considering the standard features you get compared to its competitors for the same money.

I never ever thought I'd say this and nobody had better quote me on it, but VW has done something alright. Now it just needs to lose that engine and in place of it put a a smaller, more fuel efficient four-pot.

ya a corvette might get that on the highway on a great day. definately not avg that mpg *yes i know all about LSx motors )

i thought the rabbit got better then that. scratch that, since the gti will do better on the highway.
the new car is too heavy and so big.

nice post, VW is one still holding true to constantly producing quality advertisments.

Seriously, that one is brilliant.....there was definatley a doob used in the pre-production of that ad.
