Also, kids should be banned from all restaurants that can even remotely be considered "nice."

I've worked with young teens for the past 4 years (and even the pre-teen category ranging from 4-11 the 3 years prior to that) so I've built up a tolerance. There are only a few aspects that I particularly don't mind in each category, though...

on the grounds that teaching kids to eat the right food is important. developing a habbit of eating at nice restaurants, where actual food is served, is much better than getting them hooked on fast food which so many lazy parents are doing.

F that, I'll teach my kids to grow their own food, and how to tie snares to catch rabbits and such.

So teach them to cook and eat good food - You don't need "nice" restaurants for that.

kids are fuckin' retarded, they can't appreciate nice food. what a waste of money, put that into their college fund, don't spend it on beef hanger steak when, at best, they'll compare it to their happy meal then bitch about wanting to go home.

What difference does it make? They aren't going to appreciate the atmosphere of a place and are likely going to enjoy being there about as much as I enjoy having them there...

I really don't see the point.

Posted by Orbax on Jun-29-2006 03:11:

tell a kid to spell ambiance then beat the shit out of him with a dictionary when you get home if he can. Thatll teach the little ******

meesa agree-gree

but seriously taking kids to fine restaurants would be a total waste of money even though, yes, they technically have the right. who gives a shit, they shouldn't be there unless they have excellent manners. That's like saying a drunk on his 21 run has the right to be at a fine restaurant, great. he shouldn't go.

its how you teach your kid to appreciate it. if they arent taught to experience it at a young age theyre most likely not going to appreciate it when theyre older.
