Although I don't really think debates are to be "won" or "lost", I do agree with you about the rest.

The reason why I posted this thread though, was because I was talking to my Philosophy professor about discussion forums, and e-learning (he's learning how to use Moodle). During the discussion, he said that the physical perception of others played an important factor in debating, which would be another advantage along with the speed you mentioned. That made me wonder, how would our discussion change, or would it happen at all?

I've seen others they mentioning they wouldn't probably discuss in real life, and I would only talk about philosophy - for example - in a very limited number of circunstances (although I've caught myself talking about it to random friends lately ).

Yeah, I can relate to that. Naturally, since most of my friends don't listen to EDM, the main topics are usually about everyday life.

Haha, well i know there would be heaps in Gautemala, Peru, and Bolivia, etc, tbh i don't know much about Brasil though
