they are living a life they hate, and they have to deal with it over and over and over again... another thing, imagine the loss of a loved one... the loss of ur child or ur whole family.... going broke, having a shit job..

eventually ill get to u... its sort of like a slow torture... u can stand it but eventually ull break

yeah i guess so...


i guess some of us would just be more inclined to resort to lives of crime

Since the questions are related, I'm going to answer them together.

Since my early teens, I was rather hopeless about life in general: because of my contrasting point of view about religion (when compared to that of my peers') and a really naive sense of honesty (thanks to my sheltered life), I had loads of problems at school, and as I grew up and sorted things out at school, I started having problems within my family (mostly with my mother). Not to mention that, when I turned 17, I became infatuated with a suicidal girl, and there had been a "suicide wave" in Brasília. But... I didn't kill myself.

Before killing myself, I decided that I'd first try to escape from the situation (the obvious ), and I'd do that leaving the country. I then chose to graduate in Foreign Affairs, but ended up being dragged by my love for the academic field, and drifted to Japanese Language and Culture once I heard about how the Japanese embassy used to give scholarships to the best students (to the point I was the best ranked student in the entrancy tests, and had two very good chances to go to Japan so far).

From this point on, loads of good things happened to me: I made real friends (not suicidal ones this time, and not related to the university life), and I fit perfectly into university, as I'm usually very good friends with the professors.

Suicide seems to have a great social stigma though, and I must admit I don't understand that, but that should be material for a whole new thread

edit: Here, this movie reminded me a lot to my mindset back in my teens and suicide. Once you get past the "shock" and try to understand their behaviour (and ignore Marylin Mansons role in the film ), you can pretty much "live" the situation.

p.s. can you pm tribu? i think the only way for you to donate without a paypal account (or a friend with an account) is if you send the money directly via mail.. or maybe a bank transfer.. but i doubt those are cost efficient

plus someone else has to clean your ass up. If you use a gun, please lay down plastic as one kid did in my old town back home. hehe, I used to talk with the guy that cleaned em up, he was a sicko.

Someone's gotta clean you up no matter when and how you go out. I'd bet accident victims, which are in higher number, are cleaned up in worse shape than the majority of suicides.

my mom actually found a note which i scribbled shit about how much i hate her after this fight i had with her about something i cant remember, it was a long time ago. she couldn't understand english though, so she didnt understand most of it. but she definitely knew i hated her then. yes its childish, but it kinda does help to write it out if you dont have a punching bag to relieve your stress.

second time, she was going through my fucking bag the day before i was going on a trip. i had condoms in there, and she being all catholic and conservative, got so upset. she is pissed.

and i had this suicide note that i made when i didnt feel like living and she went through like a ton of paper to find it. and she understood it, but she just didnt care. there was no "go to a shrink" or "do u need help?". she was just like... acting as if nothing happened. that kinda annoyed me then.


now that ive had a couple of years to mature, i type everything in word. no one has bothered me since.

he's right..you will eventualy break when you have bad things happening to you over and over again. I used to be severely depressed..and a whole year and a half of nothing but bad fortune was too intense for me. Beginning year of 2005..i got arrested for doing dumb stuff..and then a hour later when i get back home from jail..the house burns down. I went to court with my family because i wanted to break away from my parents becuase...being emotionally tortured and neglected at the age of 15 was hard enough. I ended up moving to a whole new state..and things got worse from there. I took up cutting and ran away from home. The whole depression thing just kept building up on me..i couldnt even focus in school anymore and i dropped out. AND THEN hurricane katrina hit and killed my home..and then rita hit agian and killed my new home -_______-. All the way up to that crap i really wanted to commit suicide mostly because for the whole year i felt like everything in my life was going downwards. But i got better..and obviously im still here. Bleh us teenagers these days =/.

i got kicked out of my original high school after my teacher found a notebook with lots of writing and drawings about killing myself and others. the nerve!
