I was using the U of M off campus locator hehe. Hopefully I can get in. Those places are fairly cheap. So thats not too bad and pretty easy to get to downtown from yes?

Actually... You gotta be careful. Next to coconut grove there's this line that divides the nice hood with a very ghetto hood. I dont know exactly what that part of Miami is like but its relatively close to UM and Coral Gables. Thing about Miami is that its got this "sudden" ghetto places pop up next to a rich neighborhood, so watch out with that.
I wouldnt suggest Weston, its all about Suburbia, boring, nothing relatively close to you, purely family homes, hot and humid as hell and its always raining + close to the everglades. It is a very very very nice area, but not recommended if you are your age lol + no public transportation will take you to Miami in a day from there.
Have you looked into the Miami beach, North Miami beach areas ? ( by the beach ), Sunny Isles and such??
To give you an idea, it takes you about 40mins to an hr taking a bus from Aventura down to Downtown Miami.
Second place looks win; its right at the hub between coconut grove, coral gables, downtown, the beaches, and key biscayne; all major hotspots in their own right...good luck with traffic though.
