WOW WHAT a night speechless.
Great venue nicely decorated, real loud crisp sound system.
I got to meet quite a few TA's Waz, Ilnada, Geko, Sasha, Coxx, few others cant remember sorry.

Armin came on and killed it, I stood from and center almost all night just dancing the night away. Armin was a great crowd pleaser signing autographs almost after her put on each track. Always shaking hands reading text msg's interacting with the crowd he had the place going nutts.

I was lucky enough to get a signed record at the end of the night Control freak!!!!

Hope everyone had a blast

PS ARMIN LOVED HIS POSTER

no worries, Armin was really nice about it. Like Nada said Armin is "the people's dj". That was very clear last night. Great crowd interaction

Any chance the set was recorded. I know Armin doesn't approve much of recording his sets but for the amount of support and they way he's always received in Canada, we should at least get the chance to relive the set.

i hate myself for not going

Posted by djbruuen on Jul-06-2006 16:54:

great nite! the venue is like a bigger version of 'the drink' with an asian theme and looks a lot nicer aswell. The cieling is pretty wild when those lights are going crazy. (like a carnival at times)

dj stephano had an impressive opening set, i'd go back just for him, played great house tunes all night (with the exception of some boring stuff b4 armin came on, but thats alright, made armin sound that much better when he started!)

armin had a great track selection and was smiles all night, i have no idea where he can find the energy to do a tour schedule like the one he has, so crazy. i guess everyone chanting AR MIN every 5 minutes is a huge ego boost to keep him going though

sound was pretty good in the club, they turned it up to danger levels though, so i highly regret not having ear plugs, i still have some ringing. i won't make that mistake next time. No dyn audio (JBL), but still sounded good!

I could definately see myself returning to dragonfly, i felt like i was back on vacation in cancun again walking outside a club at like 4 and everything still lit up and lively and everything looks so nice in that area.

snobby people suck and almost ruined the night for me because I was so disgusted by their attitude. just cause you're a TA doesn't mean you own the place.

ha! glad someone brings this up. I've experienced this myself but
didnt know if they were tas or not. Care to go in more detail? Maybe
it can be communicated to those people to solve the problem.

nah, i won't go into detail. you can say it's lame all you want. you can even say that i'm a whiner/bitcher/complainer, but i think it's a real problem. just cause we're more educated than the average person about the music doesn't make us better or afford us better treatment than others.

You should (you obviously dont have to give names/descriptions) else you are just background noise and come out as a whiner/bitcher/complainer. Nothing will get solved and these people will continue to be their normal asses at every party. oh well..

WOW, this was probably the best armin set ive heard. Torontos the benue ive seen him the most but funny enough the few times ive caight him outside toronto is when hes delivered the most.

The club was abolsutely fantastic and the vibe was phenomenal. Absolutely 0 sketch factor, couple of rude ppl here and there but nothing hectic. Sound System was kick ass but at one point the bass was so high i though my chest was going to explode. Nada, the card was a really sweet gesture and from the look on armins face when he got it, he seemed really touched as well. Kudos 2 u.

Now i got really high expectations for armin in new york this weekend.
