Italy's road to the final - Australia, Ukraine, Germany
France's road to the final - Spain, Brazil, Portugal

Italy winning by penalties...deserve the trophy? Highly doubt that they "deserve" the trophy...but the pics are great congrads Italy...

it just sounds like starsearcher is a french fan and is a little bitter about the outcome. its okay, it is expected.

I'm not a French fan in fact I'm completely neutral about this final...I don't really like either of the teams I'm just saying that Italy had a much easier road to the Final than France that's all...make all the conclusions you want

both teams had equal opportunity at penalty kicks so whoever wins deserves the trophy.

No offence to anyone, and jason you know i love you BUT... starsearcher (interesting username btw) is right. Not only France defeated harder teams (Spain beats Ukraine by 4 goals, So France beating Spain must mean something already) France played WAY better throughout the game by actually going forward and trying to score a goal, that's what it's all about... it's not about having 10 players defending the goalie (to anyone who missed my point - that was Italy's "straegy"). I think it was a very lame game after both teams scored goals. Thanks to Zidane for spicing it up..

And I hate how everyone claims it was 5-3 because France didn't even get a chance to score a 4th one - not that it would have mattered... but still

viva italia!! all teams played their best!! glad to see france, germany, and the ports all near the end..

thanks for the clarification...and where in that monologue do you account for the fact that:

a) italy won, everything
b) France was HANDED a BULLSHIT PK
c) Italy was the only team to put the ball in the net in regulation time, twice, one not allowwed

And since you, the Oracle, have arrived at this glaring conclusion like all the other supporters of teams who had lost, who were out and able to nurse a pulled middle finger while drinking a beer, why is it exactly that a team who appears more forward are considered better or controlling the game???...against Italy this year you had about 6 seconds anywhere near Buffon (best keeper of the tournament) before Cannavaro would take the ball away from as a serice before Buffon caught your shot while already thinking of which player to toss it back to.

Italy controlled every game. watch it through your eyes and then think the opposite, of everything you want to think.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Pictures from St Clair (World Cup Party) -- July9th 2006

lol, you don't need to tell me to watch the game thru my eyes and then think the opposite of whatever the hell you said.. I already watched the game and I saw how each team played and there are many people who would agree with what i said... I am guessing you're Italian since you got the flag over there to the left, so I won't even bother trying to discuss the way the teams played because you are supporting your country and they won the cup but i think France deserved it more.. way more. in fact it should be given to zidane for that hit, the guy had the nerve to call him a son of a terrorist whore
