Well portugal was just unlucky, because 3-0 (later 3-1) didn't give a fair picture of the game. Portugal played nice fast football for a while, but in the end Germany was the better team.

Most entertaining match by far: Croatia-Australia. 4 goals, a brilliant free kick starting the game, a dodgy keeper making an ass of himself all the time, a brilliant goalkeeper on the other end making a superb exhibition, and a completely batshit insane referee making even more an ass of himself.

Good games:
Argentina - Mexico
Italy - Ghana
Italy - Germany
the first half of Argentina - Ivory Coast
Sweden - England
Spain - France
and as much as i don't want to remember it, Germany - Portugal

the Portugal match i most enjoyed watching from a fan point of view was against Iran - tough to get the first goal, took us a lot of time, but it was quite a nice exhibition even if Iran ocasionally got themselves a chance too

another game that i loved watching was Czech Rep - USA. Rosickyyyyyyyyyy

and pretty much the rest of the cup was shit. The guy above me mentioned Argentina-Germany but personally i thought it was the most disappointing match of the cup, i was expecting something epic but it was so monotonous. Argentina swapping passes at the back for like half the game, and finally Germany winning on penalties.

Brazil 0 - 1 France. A masterclass in defensive discipline and attacking guile to defeat the tournament favourites.

Germany - Italy
Argentina - Ivory Coast

That one was frustrating as hell. Goal opening the game, everyone thinking "wow, this is going to be great, now paraguay will be forced to attack" then.... ..... ..... ..... 85 minutes of nothing.

It wasn't just 85mins of nothing, it was 85 mins plus the next 4games of nothing.
I really did think england had a chance, but in reality, we just do not take chances when we have them, and I would rather have settled for a less good team that could play together than the team we had.

Aus vs Japan was probably my favourite.

i would've thought you watched the game, but Pletikosa was great and Kalac was dodgy to say the least.

ah, I forgot it was that game which Kalac kept in. For some reason though it was Schwarzer.
