Someone hit me yesterday on the 401 from behind and broke my bumper...just got an estimate - $1300 to repair...i'm not at fault so i'm going through insurance and they'll cover everything....

$600 is nothing...pay it yourself for sure.

geez...

but thanks moral hazard... I will definately get them to sign a waiver...

ya never know

Nice people! Smart decision about the waiver. Always have it in writing.

Sorry about your luck Linz At least you have some of those goals you've accomplished to keep you on the positive side!

I bumped a man near Pacific West mall Last year. I was changing lanes and he was slowing down, so I slowed down. Then he took his foot off the break and I checked my blind and finished my lane change, when I looked back up his break lights were on again. I assumed he was slowing down again and when I realised he was making a complete (and abrupt) stop, I was too late and gave him a bump. Some fucking pedestrian and jumped out in front of him trying to catch the bus.

$400 bucks. No insurance. I win.

I have furnished her with the appropriate release form.

No body is perfect... I have seen some pretty bad male drivers too... but I have to agree, alot of women suck at driving... I can't really argue when I just hit someone myself and I hit this girl cause she is stupid and didn't turn when the way was clear. Two bad women drivers in one spot... sheesh!

Thanks for the form Moral Hazard!

Recently someone damaged my door on the parking lot at work and the repair is going to cost me over $200
Unfortunately no note or anything so it's anybody's guess as to who it was..

Monkey, in some ways you can consider yourself lucky that the lady agreed to take a direct payment from you. Some people automatically just wanna call the police and go through the insurance route.

I disgaree with women not being able to drive. I know my fair share of bad women drivers, and I know my fair share of bad male drivers. I don't think it necessarily matters what sex you are, it matters what type of person you are.

I don't think I'm a perfect driver, but I think I'm a good driver. I can handle the car pretty well at high and low speeds and I drive manual well.

I've never been in an accident. Scratch that...I've been in one, where I was stopped at a stop sign and my BOYfriend rear ended me (not Cale). In addition, I know a number of males that were in accidents and caused them, yet none of my girl friends have even gotten in car accidents.

Posted by Cosmic Fur on Jul-12-2006 14:02:

On the way to work just now, I saw a crashed car that cleaarly was making a right turn too fast, understeered, and went straight into the trafficl light pole. The woman was a driver. I did not see any accidents caused by male drivers on this particular day. Hence, women suck at driving. Game, set, and match.

Posted by Moral Hazard on Jul-12-2006 14:07:

With regard to the female driver thing....... I've been handling automobile losses for 8 years now and I can say with absolute certainty the vast majority of at fault drivers I've encountered are male. Now, this is not to say that women are better drivers then men but certainly men are (legally) at fault for more accidents then are women. I can also unequivically state that nearly 100% of accidents resulting in serious injury I've investigated a male driver was at fault (I can think of only 2 well over a hundred injury claims in excess of $250,000 that were caused by women drivers). Of course this is anectotal and I have no emperical data available to me at present but based on my experience it's not the women who are having at fault accidents (or at least making claims for them).

I like your logic
