What if there are no seatbelts in the back?

When people get in my car and they don't wear a seatbelt, it makes me nervous. I usually suggest to them that they should wear it but, I don't insist. When I get into someone elses car and can't find a seatbelt, I get VERY nervous. Then I hurry up and fashion a makeshift seatbelt out of my underwear and use that. Luckily, by doing that it's the last time I have to ride in that persons car.

i'm a bigger seatbelt nerd; i walk around the house in a seatbelt !

and underwear too

...exclusively actually

i'm a seatbelt nazi. i feel naked if i'm not wearing a seatbelt in the car.

i will sometimes refuse to ride in a car if i get placed in a seat without a seatbelt (like in some people's back seats when the seatbelts are hidden under the seat).

WTF is up with cars being made without seatbelts? Is it because they're old? I never ever saw a car without seatbelts for all passengers around here.

anywho, here everyone in the car must wear one, or else it ends up in fines, and the driver can get a "clip" in his driving license for not wearing one, and he can also get that if he doesn't make sure children under the age of 15 is wearing their seatbelts...3 clips within a period of 3 years mean you simply lose your license.

Btw: what are the laws on lights in your countries? Here you gotta have the lights on at all times no matter what.

In Canada it depends on the province. In Ontario - all vehicles must be manufactured with "day-time running lights" (low intensity lights that are on whenever the car is in operation). In addition one must turn on their headlights 1/2 hour prior to sunset and they must remain on (provided the vehicle is in operation) until 1/2 after sunrise.
